Hard to find negative comments for Weaver. Apart from his great knowledge of the material, he is an excellent communicator and teacher. His lectures are very helpful and allow for input and questions from the class. Show him that you care and he'll go great lengths to get you up to speed.

Comment:
Dr. Weaver is a decent professor. Out of the CIS faculty at Messiah, however, he is my least favorite. His assignments are vague and his quiz questions are ambiguous. Get ready to have points taken off for the stupidest reasons imaginable. I took CIS191, and the majority of the assignments felt like busywork. Overall, he's a great person, but meh.

Comment:
I am convinced that Professor Weaver is not a good professor. For this class he will lecture once in a while, but mostly have you work on assignments. For those assignments he is very vague about what he wants and you won't really find out until you get your grade back. Always very vague and a tough grader. Get ready to teach yourself.

Dr. Weaver, was often very unclear about his instructions, and his assignments often seemed unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming.

Weaver is a cool prof. he is nice and funny honestly doesn't care what you do... he gives extensions and understands that his class is just a GEN ED... Lots of projects at the same time but reasonable due dates... i recommend him if he have to take this class

Professor Weaver is one of my favorite profs. He cares a lot about his students and will work with you to make sure you understand. At the same time, he does expect that you make an effort. I definitely recommend that any class that he teaches.

Awesome prof. Truly cares about each and every one of his students. Additionally, he's super knowledgeable and hilarious to boot. I don't know what all these negative reviews are on about, but I'm sure they're not talking about the same Scott Weaver *I* know!

Highly ADD. Gives random "pop-quizes" when many kids are late. Tests can be long but are fairly graded. Not too great at getting back to students about grades, but I guess that's part of the ADD. Good Prof.

Horrible upper level CSC Prof. Does not know anything more then basic html and a programming language or two. Any complicated material he just avoids. He needs to stick with intro classes or go back to teaching high school. What a wayste of time (and money).

Don't take this the wrong way, he is an excellent professor. Its unfortunate he got stuck teaching this course because he just wasn't prepared and didn't really know the stuff well enough to teach it. Of course if he teaches the class again, it won't be for a long time, so you don't need to worry.

great guy. my first experience with programming and it was a good one. feedback time kind of sucks. no homework outside of labs, which are doable. tests are VERY difficult though, although pretty fair. study for them!

Great professor! Very energetic, knowledgeable, and eager to share that knowledge with students. Rarely gives homework outside of labs, which are straightforward and hardly difficult. If you don't sleep through class, you're sure to do well.
