Comment:
I wouldn't recommend taking Scott Wilson's class. He knows his stuff but doesn't know how to teach and expects that you already know everything. His lectures are also extremely boring as he only talks about himself. His slides give unimportant, random information (that he tests you on) therefore you do all your actual learning from the textbook.

Well, I had him for introductory psychology 1100, oh man was he a gong show. I will never forget how much reading from the textbook i had to do to understand the concepts, just to read the opposite of what we learned on his test. On one hand he is very understanding if you personally speak to him. But overall I would not recommend this professor.

He is passionate about psychology. I learned a lot when taking his class but his slides are not the most clear and are a bit dated. His lectures usually consist of psych topics mixed with his personal life/opinion on things. He is funny and likeable but does not really tell you much in terms of what to study for tests. He says "study everything".

Lectures are spotty and he does not provide context to anything. He'll either spend no time on a slide at all, or upwards of 10 minutes because he's gone on a tangent and often doesn't get back on subject for a long time. As a result, it's difficult to know what he expects you to take out of every class which makes tests harder than they need to be

it is true, he is terrible. you don't need to take notes because he posts all of his slides online. you can try to study off of them but they are just pictures and random words with no explanation. for the first exam, I studied his notes and every chapter word for word, and still got 63% on the exam. 85% of the class is at a failing grade rn

DONT TAKE HIS CLASS he is completely useless at actually TEACHING you the information and talks in useless anecdotes for way too long. I had to teach myself this entire course from the textbook and Khan Academy, and in class discussions were the only thing that actually helped, as long as he wasn't part of it. Leaves during exams?

This class is heavily on his slideshows that make no sense. The class average for his exams was around the "C" range and he still told us that it was a good average. He states his opinion a lot and trails off-topic more often than not. This is a self-teaching class but be warned that the content of the textbook is barely on his exams.

Be prepared to teach yourself everything, I mean EVERYTHING. His lectures are all over the place. He tells a lot of stories, gets distracted or off topic really easily.

He spends the entire class talking about himself. Most of his sentences end in "but that's just my humble opinion." You have to read the textbook if you even remotely want to pass it's basically a self-taught class. I swear he's only teaching the class to talk about himself. Find a diff prof this one is terrible.

Regret not checking rate my prof before registering for his class. Be prepared to read every chapter of the textbook thoroughly because this is a self taught course. His exams are all over the map - the class average of our first exam was 55% and he said that it was a "good average." basically, he doesn't care if you pass or fail.

I didn't even know professors like him existed he is truly the worst prof I've ever seen. You don't need to go to class to learn anything cause all he does is talk about his personal life stories and opinions. Also if you are religious at all be prepared for him to call it ridiculous. Right from the start he tells the class that we r going to fail

Scatterbrained and hard to listen to, be ready for many long personal stories backed up with no course material or information. Be ready to learn on your own.

If I wanted to learn the textbook on my own I wouldve taken an online course. Lectures are unclear and confusing. If hes going to give 4 exams in one semester at least put in the effort to teach us something.

All he talks about is how much he hates Jay-Z and gang bangs. I could've made a drinking game out of it every class no joke. He gives so many tests and the questions don't make sense. I asked for help to bring up my mark, all he said was do assigned work (which was two things), and i still failed. he doesn't care.

You NEED the textbook. I found that it was my only way of actually learning the material. I had to teach myself, EVERYTHING. His lectures are very uninformative, he rambles a lot about his own life, that has nothing to do with the course. He doesn't check e-mails. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is a nice person but not a good teacher.

very sarcastic but HILARIOUS. TAKE HIS CLASS!! Yes, his exams are difficult and he's not the best lecturer. But if you skim through the textbook and get the basic concept before the lecture you will be fine lol. he emphasizes conceptual ideas behind all the calculations. ALOT of bonus quizzes + free marks. He deserves a better rating than this lol

The class is laid out as if you are a PHD in psychology , takes all the fun out of the content, its as if he thinks students are taking only his class with the amount of work. Currently in 4 classes but it feels like 6 because of this class. Even if you need this teacher to fit your schedule do yourself a favour and stay away
