Dr. Yalda is amazing! I took her freshman year seminar class for ESCI majors, even though there was not really anything to teach, she always made class fun and interesting! No exams what so ever, graded on attendance, ESCI Dept. seminar summaries and a final presentation on an ESCI topic of your choice. I would def take one of her classes again.

Most amazing prof ever! She is such a jokester and an incredibly sweet woman. She cares a lot about her students and is always providing new information to us. Had her for UNIV103 and the workload was completely bearable. We were only required to summarize a weekly lecture and were mainly graded by our chosen topic project/presentation at the end.

Class was relatively easy. Just had to read a novel for the semester where you had a book posting on D2L every week. She also had some write ups on other reading assignments. That composed of 60% of your grade, and the other 40% of the class was a 10 page paper on a specific topic of your assigned novel.

So sweet and so kind! Impossible not to like. 1 group project, NO EXAMS, and multiple, easy D2L submissions. Put in the effort, show up to class, and it's an easy A. I loved her as a professor! An absolute gem! I hope to take another class with her in the near future.

I've had Dr. Yalda for 3 classes so far (more in the future) and I've gotten all A's. She is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and if you ever have a question she'll always be there to help. She was able to get me into a junior level class I needed as a freshman. Definitely my favorite professor on campus!

LOVE DR. YALDA! I wish she taught more meteorology classes. Helpful, answers emails within 24-36 hours (usually less). If you put forth the effort, she bends over backwards. I felt like I really learned something, and the final research paper while long (10 pgs), is easy to write if you pick a topic you're interested in (You get to pick the topic.)

She is one of my favorite professors on campus. We didn't do much work in her class but she provided us with details about what we can do around the campus and regarding our academics as a whole. There was one online quiz and a presentation at the end of the year, but other then that not much work. You have too attend seminars too, but that was ok

Easy class. Just do all the work, and you will be fine! Great sense of humor and very easy to communicate with. Some of the guest presentations she brings in can be a little boring at times, but it is never boring when she is teaching. All earth science majors go through her, so there is no avoiding her. Great person!

The class itself is only a freshman seminar, but you tell she is very passionate about her career. Even at this level, she is always available for assistance. She's smart, and very good looking. Class was enjoyable simply because I always had something...er...someone to look at.
