This was my second time taking Dr. Serra. Allied Health Chemistry 1 and now Allied Health Chemistry 2. There was a lot more of material to study. The material can be difficult so It is in your hands to do the practice and online homework. You won't pass if you don't go to class and take notes. He takes notes with you and tells you word for word.

Hard material but a great professor. He seems intimidating in class but if you go to him for help he is very pleasant and willing to help. You have to go to class to get the notes and the book is not required but is really helpful for practice. He always gives practice exams that follow the actual exams. You must put the work in.

All you need to do is study. I pulled an A in his class just buy reading the chapters, doing his exam reviews, and end of the chapter questions. He's not impossible like most people on here are saying; it's called doing work.

Dr. Serra is a very nice and very helpful. But his tests are extremely hard. He teaches the class as if your majoring in organic/biochemistry. If you can avoid him do so, otherwise STUDY STUDY STUDY! This class is not impossible but be prepared to spend a lot of time studying for him exams

This prof knows his stuff. Very helpful if you ask. However, exams are EXTREMELY hard, especially for a freshman level course. He seems to think that everyone should have a passion for chemistry. He's an old-school pompous type. If you don't know it, he will make sure you know he has a PhD.

he is sooo nice to the point where you cant help but like him. BUT his class is WAY hard. so its a struggle because i like him but greatly dislike the class. you learn alot but may sacrifice your grade where if you take the class with a different professor you may not learn as much but you will have a good grade. this has been my hardest class

Requires hard work and a lot of memorization. Nice guy. Never read the book, only did the practice pblms. Be sure to look over sample exmas. He says he doesn't refer to them but he definitely does. I learned a lot and regardless of what others say IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

His notes are very straightforward from the textbook. However, his tests are very challenging. His practice tests are from years ago when he taught this course. They don't help when it comes to the test. He is a nice guy when you come to him with questions.
