Term 5 Civil Engineering Prof - Solids and Math... If you're reading this you probably don't have much choice and you're gonna have to take the courses anyways - BEWARE. he may come off as a good teacher but he spends all day deriving things - then when it comes to exams he royally f's you. Just study study study and hope for best.

Cares deeply about how students perform in his course. Like most profs, going to have a face to face discussion with him is a big help. He will take the time to answer your questions and ensure you understand. Very clear english. Does the best he can with dry subject matter by making a few jokes. Great guy.

Nice enough guy. Lectures were long and drawn out and relatively pointless. If you wanted to do well in the course you had to dedicate your life to completing each and every problem in the text book. The final exam looked like he had one of his kids do up the diagrams on paint. If you can avoid him (which you can't), don't get him.

Tries to make class interesting by making jokes, but lectures are dry and he doesn't teach by doing examples. Lectures consist of deriving formulas, while exams are very difficult and complicated. The textbook (Hibbeler) is the saving grace for this course.
