I took Dr. Bovey as a senior in high-school while dual-enrolling, & made an A in the class. It's certainly not easy, but it's because he makes you work for your grade. The final paper was rough but I liked it because I learned how to actually argue for my thesis, not just recite quotes that vaguely support it. Final exam is hard but doable.

I liked Dr. Bovey, but everything will come down to did you meet his intent. It doesn't matter if you wrote the most profound piece on whatever subject, if it didn't meet his intent, it won't pass. Other than that, I found his class incredibly enjoyable. He picked interesting topics, and I didn't have to buy a book. Final Exam is a nightmare!

I took him my freshman year. HE WILL ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR PAPER. An A is not possible. And expect an F on the final, it is not easy.

He is very routine. Lecture everyday, sometimes he will do an activity. No tests on lectures; however, a ton of papers to write. He grades very hard no matter how much effort you put into your paper. The class final is insane.

Professor Bovey might be a very smart man, teaching needs work. He contradicts himself in the middle of class. Makes students feel stupid by tell the class he is the expert. Only assigned 1 paper, 1 test (final). Never will I recommend this Professor. If there is a choice between his class and basket weaving, take basket weaving.

Seth Bovey, is a typicall college teacher. The cliche image you would have in mind. If you turn in a fanominal paper that is put together well you receive a low grade... If you sound like you know anything at all he will fish out horrible grades.

As long as you attend class and take note's, you will be fine. I can see how this class ould be hard for someone who skips class, however, it is an upper lel course so surely by this point you're taking school seriously. He was really nice and I found his class interesting (and it was at 8!)!

Thought him to be a very good professor. He was tough, vague at times, but he really stimulated my mind. Felt like his grading methods on the paper were a bit more stringent than most, but that is okay. Gives me something to aim for next time I take him. His test material was fair. He has a quirky sense of humor, but we had great conversations.

If I had read the comments made about Dr. Bovey before taking his class I would have missed out on learning so much about writing! I found Dr. Bovey to be very interesting, approachable, and helpful. If students attend class and turn in their rough draft writing assignments as required, he will provide feedback on changes that need to be made

Great professor, assignments were interesting. Not an easy class, he expects quality work. Take your papers to the writing center for prof reading and it will help increase your grade. Wish I could take him for 1002 because I know what to expect. Do not be afraid to take this class.

DR. BOVEY IS A WONDERFUL MAN AND TEACHER I DID GET A "C" IN HIS CLASS BUT THAT WAS MY FAULT I MISSED TOO MANY CLASSES. FOR EVERYONE WHO IS ATTACKING HIM GET A LIFE!!
