She is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She knows alot about economics, but she lacks the ability to communicate it to people who are more interested in circuitry than inflation or IRR's. The average grade was a D. It's mandantory, so good luck...you'll need it. BTW, don't read the book, she'll just disregard everything in it anyways...

Nice professor. Not too good at explaining things and often explains something for 10 minutes only to confuse herself and go back on what she said once someone asks a question. She is willing to help you if you email, call or stop by her office so take advantage of that because if you don't know economics before you'll need all the help u can get

I had taken Hoffer who everyone swears by and failed, then I took Mitchell and got a B in the class. I don't understand why people think clickers and graded hwk is a bad thing, personally it help me to see what I actually understood. I think she was excellent!!

Uses Clicker for stupid questions. Online homework is a grade (that you pay for). Never opened Textbook. Powerpoint reading in class that is not helpful for tests. All notes and study guides are online before class. Cannont control class and hears voices. I would say go for a different professor.

Average grade in this class was a D, started out with a full auditorium, but by the end of the semester less than half o the students remained. Terrible teacher. All powerpoint slideds for all chapters are basically the same and do not reflect any information on the tests. Not helpful, not effective, and not intelligent.

I took this class last semester on a period while I was on academic warning, thanks to this class I am now on academic probation. This was by far the most confusing class I ever took. The only good part about having her was to then be able to go on ratemyprofessor.com and laugh about how hillariously accurate all her ratings are. DONT TAKE HER!!!

She is a horrible teacher. maybe worst at VCU, you can't teach econ on just powerpoint. Test are difficult because she didn't teach anything. She cannot teach, she should be in an office plugging numbers, not teaching. Try for Pratt or Hoffer

She cannot teach. What ends up on the tests and what she teaches are almost 2 different things. Concepts stressed on the test will NOT be gone over very often. Instead you might be stuck talking about the cheese market in richmond for a week. Find a different teacher.

You can study her notes all you want but it doesn't help come test time b/c it is wrong. She laughs at economic phrases (example: she found the phrase "AGGREGATE DEMAND" hilarious) How someone finds that funny I will never understand. She created the VCU "no sleeping policy" so watch out.

OMG, watching paint dry sounds like a night in Vegas next to one of her lectures. Very unclear, very condescending, difficult, and extremely boring. One class after 5 cups of coffee I counted my yawns in her lecture, 53!!!!! Stay away from her classes, Danger Will Robinson!!!!
