Though she may sometimes seem a bit disoriented, Dr. Cherry is a wonderful teacher and person. She's really sweet and helps out however she knows how. She's a fair grader, and I got out of the class with a B even though I bombed the tests. Class was fairly boring, but she did her best - it's Spanish, how fun can you make it??? I loved the class

Got a B in Canas' class in 101. Took Cherry, busted my butt trying to do well and she cut me down at every turn. When I was worried about my grade &considering dropping she said I should stay, "you will be fine" Started the class with over 20 students, by final exam day = 6 students. She is more interested in her "honors program."

Stay far away, that is unless you are avoiding fire breathing dragon (Dr. Carter). She is the most unprepared teacher here. She never got her test info straight. Sometimes, we reviewed new info and were tested on it seconds later. She doesn't care about you, your mama, or your grade so don't try to talk to her. Take Salvo, Canas, or Morrow.

TERRIBLE!If you need to take a spanish course, don't take her!She just reads the book to the class.When you go to her to ask her a question she doesn't look you in the eye and acts like you are annoying her.Her tests have no consistency what so ever.One test voc. is in list form then next it is in paragraph form(that you have to conjugate first)

I made an A in Spanish 1 and 2 at another college. I made an F in her Spanish 2 refresher course. Not helpful and uniterested in students that don't speak Spanish fluently. Do not take her classes. If you need another Spanish and her class is the only one open wait another semester or take another language course.

Dr. Cherry is hilarious. Once you get used to her she is really not difficult. All of her tests follow the same formula. In contrast to the other Spanish teachers, you at least always know what to expect.

in a word...BORING!!! she is nOT a very good teacher and does not help u very much. if ur trying to avoid carter, then go for it. she is monotone, uninspiring, and her class is drudgery!!!!!

This was the worst foreign language couse I have EVER had. Honestly, do yourself a favor and take it at tech if you can. I'm suprised USC hasn't realized how bad this professor is and that they keep losing Spanish majors because we have to take Cherry. AWFUL.

Dr. Cherry is a little flighty but she is more than willing to help if you just ask. She also offers several extra credit opportunities which are extremely helpful for that all important GPA. She does expect you to know your stuff but welcome to college

She is one of the most straightforward language teachers on campus. you always know what is expected and she gives extra credit and every opportunity to get the highest grade you can. Like most doctoral professors she does not respond well to slackers.

When I had her, I had never taken a Spanish course before. I thought it was difficult until I took Prof. Carter for 102. Thank your lucky stars you have her and do the homework and extra credit. Make flashcards for the vocabulary --it really helps.

Not a very good teacher. She only cared to talk to the native speaking students, and have conversations with herself. Instead of talking in Spanish and sometimes explaining in English, she just went off on her own thing. Wouldn't take her again.
