Just finished her winter intersession online class. Loved it!! She is nice, helpful & passionate about the material. She provides thought-provoking material & all of it is relevant to the prompts. The syllabus is clear & she follows it. Her lectures summarize things nicely & online discussions are very interesting. Hard work but fun & worth it!

This was a semi-easy A, however I would not recommend this course. It was a 5 week online course and not only was there a RIDICULOUS amount of reading, the due dates for the assignment were constantly changing or unclear and often times quizzes were given late or due dates extended. It was a mess and confusing to keep track of.

I took the 5 wk course, I know it is suppose to be intense because I've taken others before. BUT this one? It's nuts. She assigns WAY too much reading &gives unreasonable/non flexible due dates. She assigns a ton of hw over the weekend--sometimes more than the weekdays. Do not take this class. Most ridiculous one I've ever taken online.

Prof. Elise is a true teacher - she cares about her subject and it shows. yes, it's a lot of reading - but it is all relevant - not just busy work. She has a knack for picking intriguing and useful materials. If you want to learn, take her classes! *no textbook required, materials available online! bonus!*

I took her for winter intersession, and she is amazing!! The class entitled a lot of reading, but it was all VERY interesting. This class was online and she tried to make it as un-stressful as possible. Very smart woman!!

AVOID THIS TEACHER. took it online she did NOT communicate throughout the semester. Ran out of time and combined last 2 papers into one ridiculous paper worth 50% of our grade. Seriously? Are you kidding me? Take someone else, someone who actually has time and desire to teach an online class. Grades hard and doesn't explain in prompt her specifics.

Passionate and totally disrespectful to non-minorities. Says things like "in order to stop racism we have to start noticing race". Intolerant of any views but her own. Lies about statistics and doesn't like to be called on it. Thinks you can force someone to buy a sub-prime loan, which would be funny but she thinks white men do it to minorities.

Her thing is that she wants her students to actively participate in the class by reading the required readings and having an open discussion about it. If you didn't read, you would be lost in what she was talking about. She's a great professor but she is challenging. Her tests are hard but she lets you use a cheat sheet. Bring your a-game to class

we just watched videos all classs...most of what she lectured on had nothing to do with what was on the test. always 10-15 minutes late to class. Great Person. tests are pretty difficult, but she gives a study guide and the essay question. there is one 10 pg research paper, a midterm and a final. she doesnt curve

The most unprofessional professor I had throughout college. She was late (10-15min) to class over 75% of the semester. I also disagreed with her in class regarding a politically motivated view, and my grade reflected it afterwards. I was an A student before I challenged her political agenda. Her views also had nothing to do with the class material.

Dr. Elise rocks! She is extremely intelligent and knowlegable about class material. If you take the time to talk to her, she is very helpful. Her tests are somewhat hard (alot of information!) but she offers easy in class exercises to give you extra points. She is an excellent professor and really makes class material interesting.
