Webassign homework is time consuming. Material is super hard but she's very helpful in office hours- especially on written HW (gives you answers sometimes). She is very clear in her lectures and is fair on her exams although they are pretty difficult (Class test avg- 79).Always willing to answer questions and help out. Kinda gives you a mom feelin

This class was suppose to be easy but she managed to make it so difficult. She made sure we learned the basics but didn't teach us how to apply it. She gave little feedback on math reports. However, she is a nice professor.

Comment:

While the course material was interesting, I hated this class. The weekly assignments are very lengthy and the class notes did not prepare me enough to complete them on my own. They required attending office hours almost twice a week, with the rest of my class pretty much. Although the homework was very difficult, the exams were much easier.

Frechette is awesome. A very fair grader and is very intelligent. If you do the review problems she assigns before every exam you will be fine. Really wants all her students to do well and will go out of her way to schedule a time to meet with you. Highly recommend her

In calc I, she was fairly clear in lectures, and for that reason I never went to her office hours. The lectures are pretty boring but she really knows what she's talking about and would be very willing to help someone understand the more difficult material. I would recommend her.

I took Calc II. The application of concepts was challenging and the work load was very demanding, but she was EXTREMELY receptive. I went to her office hours all the time and she helped me out with a lot of tricky assignments. She's pretty monotone so the lectures can be dull, but nonetheless she's articulate and knows what she's talking about.

In retrospect, the class should be easy. The material is interesting, but she doesn't make it easy for you to understand. I went to office hrs as often as I could and we did nothing more than play the staring game. I understand she wants you to figure it out for yourself, but I little more help than stares would be appreciated.

So, shes not the best, and not the worst either. Unlike the comments below she no longer has any sort of activities or problems for bonus points. She tries hard to teach her class and is good and doing so, just make sure to keep up on all of her notes. Average teacher, average class, nothing more or less

This class is extremely easy to get an A in, with the extra credit to add points on the already high test grades with class averages on tests in the high 80's, the homework is easy to get a check on, its just the few labs that are frustrating and pointless. Havent gotten the one back that i did 7 weeks ago, but it takes a lot to hurt your grade.

Frechette is a great calc teacher who makes the material easy at times.Homework is difficult yet bearable.Tests are easier than the homework.Many opportunities to improve your grade whether it be through weekly extra credit or group projects. Take this class if you have to take 136, shes a alot easier than Hwang!

Although the course material may be hard, Prof. Frechette gave us sooooo many extra credit homeworks that we each had 43 bonus point by the end of the semester to add onto any tests etc. She also gave us usually 8 point bonus questions at the end of each test too.
