Medow requires at least two 2 page refections every week, we probably did 5ish presentations, we had 2 weeks to read a book and do a group report, she'll answer emails like once a week, lots of civic engagement hours, the class is a lot of busy work and she gives everyone the same grade on every assignement.

Ridiculous amount of work. In less than 2 months I have written over 30 pages of essays, assignments, and other busy work. Attendance policy is unfair (more than 1 absence and you fail participation). We're reading 3 books at the same time. Requires more fieldwork hours than Pace does for AOK1. Don't take this class if you value your free time.

It's A LOT of work, so be prepared! Prof. Medow is very sweet and understanding, and is very helpful if you talk to her. As long as you aren't a procrastinator and don't mind writing, the class is fun and interesting.

Comment:

Professor Medow's class is definitely a lot of work. However, once you get the hang of things the assignments become easy to complete. She is an incredible teacher who is very knowledgable and passionate about the field of education. I would definitely recommend her!

She honestly gives pointless busy work that is unnecessary. Worst part is she doesn't grade a single thing until the semester is over. The class is boring and the curriculum and her words repeat over and over. Defiantly do not recommend.

She is a nice person, and always brings interesting topics to class, I liked to be in her class because it is work, she gives a lot of homework, and assignment usually reflections, and class discussions. be prepared to spend at least 2 hours beside her class.

TONS of homework! Doesn't mean she grades them though! I literally got an 18/20 on every assignment. Take her class if you need the WE and CE class, but know its a lot of busy work. She is really sweet though. Just participate and BS the homework and you're good to go.

Honestly, Prof. Medow is a good teacher and a good person. She's nice to talk to and she's an enjoyable person. However, if you're taking a normal amount of classes, the amount of work she gives is ridiculous. There are no tests and the work is not difficult, but it's just. so. much. Especially at the end of the semester - like 20pg of work.

Prof Medow is an amazing teacher! Yes she gives ALOT of work but they're easy tasks and field work is fun! She allows you to hand in things late, and her lectures are very engaging and interesting. Good hands on work. Shes very laid back and up to date with her teaching skills. Whether you're an EDU major or not I would recommend her to everyone.

Very sweet and caring lady, but the amount of work she gives is absolutely ridiculous. If you talk to her she will most likely grant you an extension. But be prepared for a lot of tedious busy work. She is very unclear on the amount of hours you need to volunteer and then expects you to have 20+ hours by the end of the semester.

She was terrible. Gave lots of busy work never graded anything. Unclear most of the time on what she expected, cause we never got any of our papers back. Always late, but you get penalized for lateness and absence, which she tells you at the end of the semester. Gives many projects on limited amount of time and grades them harshly. DONT TAKE HER.

She is very nice and caring woman. The class can get a little slow sometimes, but that only is because she really wants everyone to understand and participate. There is a good amount of work, but it is quite easy work based on opinion. As long as you hand in the work you will get a good grade.

She's nice, and tries hard. BUT her class is so infuriatingly disorganized. The busywork she gives is of almost no use, and it's a constant struggle to keep track of all 50 assignments she wants per week. She now sends a list of what's due each week, and even that is difficult to decode. If she would just focus on a few things we'd learn more!

LOVED HER & LOVED THE CLASS! :) You will learn an abundant amount about schools that you would've never learned elsewhere. There's tons of work, hence why it's writing enhanced and 4-credits. There's a 3-5 page reflection due every week on top of other work, but it's extremely helpful. Fieldwork in PS 226 was awesome! :) TAKE THE COURSE!
