Definitely not class for PSYCH students, I had to work crazy hard but got an A. Tough neuro mechanism heavy material. I learned a lot and loved the lectures.

I got an A and I still consider it my worst experience at Carleton. He was all over the place, very disorganized, never answered emails, sometimes rude- especially if you asked him questions. Almost never related things to neuroscience. Very dry class. Clearly does not care about students. If you have the choice, do not take the course.

Excellent prof! Interesting lectures with up to date research information. Midterm was fair considering the amount of material and the take-home exam was not difficult. Attend lectures, take notes and you'll be fine.

All the positive feedback here? What a joke. If you want your GPA to drop, take this class. My class was Winter 2016 and no one was satisfied with their final mark. Very unresponsive to emails, TA's are most helpful (not even), NO rubric for what he wants on essay and our whole class NEVER received our essay back. Goodluck.

Brilliant prof, he does not provide notes nor use a textbook in teaching this class, the material tested is fairly straight-forward though the material presented is very detailed and if you want to explore neurodegeneration there is no better Proff

Extremely monotonous and boring. We weren't assigned a textbook but I would rather have read one! It's clear he's passionate about what he does but it doesn't translate too clearly.

Do not get on his bad side! Hes smart but assumes everyone else is an idiot and treats them as such. Fair marker, paper, presentation and final all doable. May have final exam or takehome. He did both this year. Attend his class and take good notes, but also know textbook material

Fair prof, interesting class. Only criticism is that needs to address students with more respect (e.g., once referred to me as "that girl"...ahem, I have a name...unless he thought that was my name.

I loved Prof. Hayley. I enjoyed him much more than the other Psych prof I had for second semester. He explains things clearly and focuses on the most important concepts. He also adds an extra 5% to everyone's mark at the end of the term.
