She is an amazing teacher, gets to know the students and is funny. She knows her material very well and provides very good explanations. She marks a bit hard but it prepares you for further writing. She is also very honest and damn sexy.

She is very... out there! She treats you like an adult and is a fair marker. However, i was frustrated with how little I learned in regards to writing technique... It felt like my grade 12 literature class all over again. I payed alot of money to be at U and felt I didnt learn alot. Although, Thats probably just the curiculum and not the teacher.

Excellent Proffessor! She marks fairly, but if you listen in class and follow her guidelines you'll do well. She spends time to get to know her students and knows how to engage everyone. I would definatly reccomend to take one of her classes!

She is AWESOME! I love her to death. She's funny, very easy to talk to, helpful, and original which is good. I was a little nervous when I frist came into her class because its Eng 100 but I would now say I'm happy I got her as my prof. I would recommend her any day for a new student to take her class. I'm going to miss her class over Christmas!

Love her! I was super nervous on the first day and she made it much less stressful. She is a really great teacher. She tell's you exactly what she wants. Her marking is not easy but if you pay attention and do all the assignment it is not hard to do well. She is really really funny and makes going to class really fun.

she is soo innapropriate but i love it...she is super funny but sometime she tries a little hard to get a laugh...but most profs are just lame so she is above the rest...you can talk to her like a friend and she really doesnt care if your late or not in class...she just might make fun of you...the marking seemed fair and debates were super fun

she's an awesome teacher, she's one of the funniest teachers I have ever had and she really knows her material. She also is very personable and is pretty helpful. ALTHOUGH, she marks insanly hard so if your not good at grammer it can be a really difficult class!

Shawna is awesome! Such a unique teacher, with a crazy sense of humor. She will help you if you go to her, and give out ideas/hints for your assignments (and maybe even the final exam). Also, she gives suggestions on how to improve your writing skills on each assignment. She is a fair marker, and will prepare you for your future classes.

How's this for helpful. She told the class that if they wanted suggestions on their essays, we could email her a copy. I did, thinking her comments would be superficial (it was during spring break). Instead, her comments were indepth and focused on every paragraph! Great and caring instructor.
