Sheila and James are great people, they love what they do. They had more of an old school english style. All the assigned readings are from way back so it was hard to understand. They are pretty tough markers, their expectations are pretty high for ENGL 1100. Wouldn't recommend if english is not your strong subject

The class I took was a blended class with 2 instructors, she taught with James Panabaker. Both professors are extremely helpful, they answer any and all questions, they're easy to understand, they give great feedback on assignments and they are extremely quick with responses to email. I would definitely take another class with them.

While I concur that she does try to provide dynamic material, in succession with James Panabaker, I find that he is more thorough in discussion. I did not find her very approachable. Don't expect help on on essays. Difficult marker.

I really liked the class although I didn't pass :( I did ok till the final came and I messed up everything. I like that there were 2 teachers in the class which keeps the students engaged all the time. Follow their instructions and you will be fine.

Took her online 1202 class and really enjoyed it. Lots of reading, but both instructors were extremely helpful and respectful. I would take more classes with her and James Panabaker, they are great teachers.

Took the partially online course with her and Panabaker. I came into the class HATING english, but I finally got into it halfway through their course. It's a great class and she's really friendly and willing to help you in/out of classes. The course is fair and pretty entertaining. I would definitely recommend their class!

She?s very thorough with her work and explains fairly well. The only downside of the class is that it requires a good memory. That is, the quiz questions require you to remember minute details in the story (ie: a specific date, colour, or age). Regardless, the teacher is professional. I'd recommend this teacher to others.

sheila is a very good eng teacher. shes insanely great @ explainin the materials durin lectures... but 1 thing i have to say bout her class w/ panabaker is DONT TAKE IT IF ENG IS NOT UR BEST SUBJECT. i literally STRUGGLED to get a C+ b/c the class is was hard but i totally enjoyed the readings and lectures. but hey, all eng teahers r hard markers!

Honestly, I bet Sheila is a really great teacher, but taking English online is just stupid. I found out the hard way. Sheila is a fantastic instructor. She never speaks down to us students. When Sheila caught me plagiarizing on my final essay, she just corrected me with a gentle tickling and a promise not to do it again.
