Class is a joke and not a funny one at that. You will learn nothing in this class. Concepts should be interesting and useful but as long as this professor teachers the course, you will come out of it not learning a useful thing. If you are in Software Engineering, this course is mandatory. For anybody else who is considering it, don't. Avoid.

Don't believe those who knock this class. They only think it's not useful because the class is easy to pass without going to lectures; however, exams are hard to get A's on if you don't show up to class. Prof is friendly, fair marker, and runs tutorials himself. Assignments are good and relevant.

I don't understand all the criticism of Dr. Poehlman. He's the best CS prof I've had so far.Useful course,lectures are a bit boring, but do the assgnments and you'll learn a lot.Funny and outspoken guy.Definately enjoyed the class.

don't waste your time by going to his class. his material is about 10 years outdated and you'd do your best to remember what you need to remember to pass his exams and do his ridiculous assignments and then forget it all (because in the end, the sort of things he teaches will actually harm your ability to produce useful user interfaces).
