Comment:

One time I saw her hug a street pole for like a good two minutes... She's eccentric to say the least... tries to cram a ton of readings into a semester, but doesn't really go in-depth with any of them. Somewhat of an easy grader though, and not totally terrible. She says a couple of interesting things here and there, and she's quite the character.

Comment:

Professor Sayres is very sweet and passionate. However, I will say that I felt no pressure or drive to improve upon my writing. I wrote all my papers the night before and got A's. She doesn't seem to be a very stringent grader. I think people take advantage of her but that's not cool- she seriously cares about teaching you.

I loved her course. The very lack of traditional structure was so refreshing. She greatly encourages creativity, and if you are a regular engineer--well, then creativity is not your forte, and you shouldn't take her class. Seriously, one of my fave courses at Cooper (and I am an engineer).

Class was easy as is, but Sayres just makes it better. Very open when it comes to homework. Pretty much make up all your own assignments. If you're not into literature, may not be your class, but I had a great time.
