Miss. Z is one of the best mathematics professors at skyline college, I have taken two courses with her, Calc 1 and 2, she was so professional and organized throughout the year. She really cares about her students and if you are an engineering major student, you would really need a solid base in math and she is the one to offer you that

I don't understand how this woman still has a tenure. Its like taking online class but suffering the chore of appearing in person. She makes you read the book, get tested on what you read, do worksheets, at home, and your own, do the online hw, and then get quiz or test. The ONLY feedback she gives, are the answers post turn in, which are useless

Zamani really makes you work for your grade. After the first exam I wasn't doing so good doing the class and she saw my frustration. She asked me to make time to go see her in her office after every class. With her regular office hours and going to SI meetings it really saved my grade and I ended up taking her again for math 200

Comment:

Zamani is a very caring teacher who teaches you at the same level you would be taught in a four year college. She assigns lots of online homework, she gives out a lot of worksheets, has a lot of quizzes and tests but they are usually graded the next day and she will go over the answers. Just show up, do all your work, and work hard.

Professor Zamani is an excellent teacher. Going back to school & dreading math, she made it easy to understand. I took 190 w/ her as well. She wants the best for her students. Not just a passing you b/c you show up. She gives HW every day, but you will appreciate it back the next day graded with feedback. I would recommend if you want a challege.

Took calc 2 in hs, and retook it with Zamani. She doesn't really explain concepts the best so you really have to speak up and ask questions. However she does care, and wants you to succeed and will help if you ask. Take her if you want a teacher that cares, is fair and rewards effort.

Professor Zamani is a decent teacher and really cares about her students succeeding. We constantly have study checks from reading the online textbook so make sure you take good notes. Quizzes are pretty hard but it prepares you for her tests. Overall, class is pretty difficult but you will have to put in the effort to understand the material

calc is so hard (for me at least) and when i would ask questions i just felt like stupid b/c she wouldn't want to explain it to me. so i tried to teach myself from the textbook and ended up dropping. attendance and punctuality MATTERS and she'll drop you if you miss a certain amount of classes

this class is basically self study. and she expects you to learn everything the next day, she gives study checks and grades them tough. she does not give real "lectures", instead she just goes over the study check's answers after you turn it in. Most days are like this, and other days are group work

She claims she does "reverse teaching." She make us do notes for homework, get quizzed on it next day, LECTURES AFTER IT, group work, then homework and repeat. Her lectures are confusing and messy. You basically have to teach yourself for this class. Consider going to the learning center for help or going to her office hours. Don't recommend.

I honestly don't get why people hate her. Took math190 with her so I get used to her. She is hilarious and gives hella amount of homework but it is a really good practice for big tests. Got A for both classes. She is caring and patient. She always quotes famous people's to motivate us before every class. She is not a tough grader. Love her.

You basically have to teach yourself in this class. The homework doesn't match the lecture. She gives lots of homework on things she hasn't taught so you must look it it up and try to figure it out. Then she grades tough on it, but still doesn't teach it and then it shows up on the quiz. She is forgetful, gives quizzes earlier than she says.

I spend a lot of effort on her class. She is my best math teacher in my life. Her quiz is based on the example on the class but you need to understand them comprehensively. As an international student, she gave me a strong fundamental of Calculus. I can feel my math skill is improving when I preparing her quiz. Sign up for class and learn real math

If you don't want to take a hard class to improve yourself, then don't go to college. Going to College is optional in any countries. You are here to get better and struggle so that you improve. She teaches college course like a college level. Of course, it is not going to be easy. You may be stupid for college, because Math 190 is honestly HS level

I came into this class aiming for a C because I haven't taken math in 4 years. Ended up getting a high B. Professor Z really cares about her students, she'll bring the best out of you. Yes, there's Homework every night but its not hard, and she's ALWAYS available to talk too. If she sees that you're trying she'll like you even more.
