The best teacher I've had at SJSU! Hes really nice and really passionate about everything he says. He yells the lectures which keeps you awake and interested. He has a great sense of humor and loves Montana!

Yells quite a bit, although this semester was better than the last. Weekly quizzes are centered around the book and are generally not difficult. Final is an in-class essay centered around lectures, so prepare and take careful notes. Very good at captivating attention during lectures and gave a new perspective to American history.

What can I say? Underdal is AWESOME! Although it seems like he enjoys yelling, he probably does it on purpose to keep everyone awake. You need to read to get a good score on the quizzes. Attendance is mandatory b/c his midterms & finals are based ONLY on his lectures. Extremely nice guy. Overall, I would highly recommend him to others. :)

Another passionate teacher and might be one of my favorites. Yells a lot though. Constructs class so you must attend every single class to pass. Monday is lecture and Wednesday is quiz day. Lectures are used in the midterm and final.

Pretty easy class. Do ALL of your journals and assigned readings. Guaranteed at least a B or A if you do so. 2 exams total; split in two parts: Identities and an in-class essay (you are given essay questions to prepare with, one of which will be on the test). He's a knowledgeable professor who knows his stuff. Very funny too. Take him!

I started w/ History 15 B, not A and had him for the history part and I must say, he'd extremely passionate in his lectures and it reflects in the classroom. Attendance is necessary, b/c every other Thur when class meets, have an 11 q quiz on previous assigned chapter in txtbk. 1 midterm and a final.Take him!

Definately likes to shout to emphasize key points. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. His reading quizzes are hard even if you read, but the midterm/final is easy if you attend classes regularly. All lecture class, reading quizzes every week, 2 book reviews and a midterm/final, fairly easy grader.

be prepared to get yelled at..which wasnt realy a bad thing excpet my class was in the morning but it wakes u up..and it was funny. his reading quizzes are sorta hard but u will do fine if u read. midterms were only on his class lectures so GO TO CLASS! hes really nice and helpful. great teacher

first off, how old is his pic? quizzes are VERY hard. midterms are easy if you go to class. Interesting lectures but it takes a whole class period to get one point across that could have been covered in ten minutes. He is very passionate and will keep you awake (whether you want to or not). overall an easy class

He will wake you up, simply with his volume, but you'll see that it's a good thing because he knows his history. His lectures have nothing to do with the readings. There are reading quizzes every Wednesday and the midterm and final are on the lectures, so you have to go to every class, but it's easy.

If you don't mind a bit of loud noise in the morning this is your guy. He knows his American history and makes it interesting. Hes a no bull kinda guy and is very down to earth. His class is fun, and I never woke up in the morning and didn't want to go. Take him in the morning, you'll be awake for the rest of the day.
