Man, Dr. Dodson was one of the funniest professors I've had at Madison. He's a little crazy. Very monotone- I dozed off in a few lectures. His test questions pretty much suck because he uses a different format (0-9). But, as far as ecology goes, I'd say he's pretty good.

He's strange, but overall not bad. He teaches about 6 lectures for this class. His material isn't too difficult & a lot of it is on the final. Your grade is based solely on 2 midterms & final (you can drop the lowest midterm) Exams are multiple choice which makes it hard. Interesting class but only take if you need it. Don't really need textbook

He seems like a nice guy, and some people I know really like him, but as an intro level instructor he was terrible. You can tell he's used to teaching upper level courses because he expected us to know a lot more than we actually did. He once asked us if we knew what a hockey stick was though. Powerpoints are all pictures, no words. Hard to follow.

definitely a bit off, but very endearing once you get to know him. exam questions can be difficult but come directly from lecture. i would recommend taking this (and Zoo316, limnology lab) before Zoo460 because limnology is his specialty and it covers many topics from general ecology, and you get to play in the water!

This is the worst class I've ever taken. His lectures are pointless. Attendance is not required but he randomly hands out worksheets to do in class. His exams contain completely random questions.

He's a nice guy but expects enthusiasm from students taking a general ed bio class. As long as you read your book the test wasn't bad. Keep yourself occupied with sudoku during class.

Don is probably the best professor I have ever had. His class wasn't like a class- it was actually FUN! We had snack days on Thursdays and we shared our designs with each other. The class also really helped me prepare for a career in design. I'm taking his web design class next semester and can't wait for it to start! TAKE THIS CLASS!!

While taking this class, I felt like I was back in 6th grade, but not in a good way. No 400 level class should have crossword quizes!
