Comment:
Best physics prof at USC, especially for the infamous 152. Does homework in class. Exams very similar to homework. Go to the review sessions and SI sessions to get good grades on the exams. Haas goes out of his way to be funny. Drank beer in class. Curves the class at the end. The labs are the worst part of the class; they take 2+ hours.

Prof. Haas is a funny guy who always wears superhero t-shirts and tries to make lectures exciting. He never takes up the full lecture time and almost always does the homework problems in class for you. He hates exams and always is looking for ways to make course load easier for you. 152 is not easy, but he makes it more than passible and bearable.

Hilarious guy! One of the best professors in the physics department. Sometimes he tries too hard to be funny, but no complaining here. Is pretty clear in lecture if you decide to show up. Generally does homework in class and has some pretty cool demos. But attendance is by no means necessary. Do practice test questions to do well on the exams!

Haas isn't a great lecturer, but he is much better face to face. The material wasn't hard but it seemed hard for me since the lectures usually didn't help. Ask him for help and you will do much better. I would also say attend SI sessions, and make sure you understand every HW when you do it. I thought tests were hard, but maybe because I screwed up

Do the homework, read the textbook and GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He's much better without powerpoints and if anything is unclear his office hours will help immensely, more so than SI sessions.

He's such a nice and funny guy. He's super chill too if you need to turn an assignment in a day late or something, he just accepts it and doesn't really even ask for an excuse. He's a little confusing sometimes, but if you look at the book you'll be ok in his class. Also i don't think he ever used the full 2 hours of class, 50 minutes max.
