Once you take his phenomenology class you will want to take more and more phenomenology classes and start to day dream that F&M had a major for phenomonology. Maybe a separate building or why not an entire campus for phenomenology. If everyone take class with him and starts to love phenomenology the world will become a much better place believe me.

I love professor Käufer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry but that gpa 3.6 dude is unfair. I think I have more to say. I am 3.9 and always receive A- from him. Kaufer is the man! You wouldn't believe the hilarious comments that come from that straight face. The lectures sometimes got a bit long and his suits formal, but that could never change the fact that Kaufer is the stealthy German who rules!

I dont know what you all are talking about. He is not good looking, he is extremely hard to follow (I get a 3.6 and I can't even understand anything he says), and he structures his classes to be lectures and then makes participation 20% of the grade when you cant even say anything. Avoid him, take it from a philosophy/history double major.

Kaufer is a funny man; however, his jokes may go over your head at points. He teaches well, a little more context and connection between the material would have been nice, however. What a snazzy dresser too. Seriously, he is the best dressed Proff on this campus. All in all, a good guy and an pretty good proff.
