I would not recommend taking this class if you have a lot of studio classes. You're expected to put in hours of rendering work and learn 2 different softwares at the same time. It's going to be hard to get high grades if you have other priorities. Class was very hard for an intro class. Intermediate results were desired from beginning students.

This class was more difficult for me than I anticipated because I hadn't had to learn a new program in 4-5 years, yet here we are using Cinema 4D. He lectured for the full 2.5 hours usually, which was helpful to me. Class wasn't mandatory (but exercises and projects were) but it's better to just go. He loved to come around and give feedback.

I am very glad that I got to take ad134 with Larson, his classes are very helpful and he's always willing to help. I heard he is a very hard grader, but I did quite well in his class, I ended up getting an A- for it. Just pay attention, be inspired and be dedicated for this class. Would deff take another class with him if I could, it's worth it!

(No textbook) Helpful, but even more when you ask for help. He's pretty funny and sarcastic. I learned a lot of useful stuff in class (some of it I also saw on youtube, but some of it was only in class). No attendance policy!

I admit to being partial to 3D animation, but this was still a cool class. Larson knows his stuff and explains it all really well (uses web videos for all of the crucial software stuff). When he does sample modeling, don't even try catch every step cause he can be insane fast.

Steve is one of the best Art profs in the department period. A tough grader who uses the "C"=Average grading scale, doesn't always seem fair, but works, because he believes an A is perfect, and very rarely is anyone's art project perfect. I gained a ton of knowledge from his 221 course and learned multiple animation programs and how to combine them

Well, I got an A. So I guess I have to sing praise to Steve. He is indeed intimidating at first, but that's just how he is I guess. Ask him if you need help. He will sit there for hours to help you if he has time. I bug the crap out of him almost every project, but he doesn't mind at all. High expectation, tough grader. class is not boring though!

He was a great teacher, his expectations were high and that made me want to try harder. Sometimes he goes over material too quickly, but he's always willing to go over it with students again. Super easy on the eyes, too with a quirky, dry sense of humor ;)

He is one of the best professors in the Art & Design department. He is a tough grader and follows the "C is average" grading scale to a T. Most people will get a C in his courses. He will explain everything you need to know so you must attend class to know what is going on. He has a great sense of humor and is incredibly intimidating.

Steve is a great guy and a great professor. He knows what he is doing and does a very good job teaching each program used step by step. He expects a lot of students and makes you work for it. I took 3 studios including this one and still survived--just do the work!!! Steve is also quite entertaining with his witty, dry humor.

What an awesome professor. He can seem very intimidating at first, but he is very willing to help if you're not understanding. His class was very challenging so if you want a blow off class, don't take Larson. He is probably one of the better professors I've ever had.

Stephan = great teacher. He can be intimidating. I really didn't like him at all at first, but once you get used to him you'll realize he is willing to help you if you have questions. You have to work for your grade, definitely. But if you get a good grade in his class you'll know you earned it. Definitely knows his stuff. Entertaining.

Very fun class. It can be extremely trying though if you don't happen to be an art major and have no real concept of what art is supposed to do (like me). You learn a lot from his class. There are plenty of opportunities to improve though, because he's more than willing to give suggestions and help. Thankfully.
