I thought I would regret taking this class as a free elective after how time consuming CISY105 was for me, but professor Brower doesn't believe in busy work. He highlights only important parts to read from the textbook. He's also great at explaining the material. Lastly, he could probably write computer programs that would end a zombie apocalypse.

Professor Brower knows so much about coding its ridiculous. Learned more during his class than I did in CISY103 & 105 combined. At times the class can get a little crazy, hes usual has alot on his plate with classes and he really carries the department. He doesnt penalize late work when he hasn't graded earlier assignments yet. Very understanding

Stephen is the best online teacher I have ever taken ! I was afraid of taking an online class since I have never done it before but Stephen made everything so clear and well explained that I had no trouble going through it ! Very very high recommended for Operating Systems online class !!

Prof. Brower is a great teacher, very intelligent & humble. Homework didn't take long and was helpful for the tests. Everything had a clear grading rubric. He was a fair/generous grader and gave extra credit opportunity. Straightforward/practical tests and projects. Learned so much from him with minimal stress. Absolutely worth taking his classes!

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS GUY! Professor Brower was one of the best professors I've had at RVCC. he is a hilarious guy. gives super easy homework that you can just do in class during the lecture. His tests are super easy as well. Very helpful when it comes to labs and projects. Easy grader for homework, labs projects and tests. Overall great Prof.

Great professor! Project & homework assigned for every topic (easy and not too time consuming, yet effective at solidifying the understanding of the course material). Three forms of extra credit: per project/lab, late assignment forgiveness, and low grade drop. If you show up and give an honest effort, you will have absolutely no issues.

Prof Brower is one of the better professors at RVCC. He does teach from Powerpoints but he is clear about what is important and what isn't. He frequently makes small jokes throughout his lectures which I found amusing. During lab he walks around helping students individually. DO NOT PRINT WHILE HE'S LECTURING! Every semester some idiot does :(

Same class everyday for the one a weeks. Come in and learn power points for about an hour to hour and a half (you can come in late he won't care) Then you do a project and he is always running around the room helping everyone, and you leave when your done. Homework takes 20 minutes, be expected to leave 2 hours before the scheduling time says

One of the best professors I've ever had at RVCC. Have taken 2 classes with him (Intro to comp sci & data structures). Will take comp assembly & architecture this coming spring. If you're a CS major, take his classes!

Very good at teaching, abundantly helpful, and grades easily. Constantly makes little jokes throughout the class. Definitely would recommend to anyone. The rare times that he does get upset with someone, however, can be quite scary/confusing. Don't print things during his lecture.

Pros: Final optional if u did good on previous exams. Grades on curve; u can get over 100%. Might make u laugh if u like self-deprecating humor. Very practical projects! Cons: Can b slow (but he lets u go on ahead of him), meticulous. Nitpicky over things like using "showhide" (u'll c what i mean) but it doesn't mean he's mad @u. book = over $100!

He is my favorite teacher this semester. He is the nicest man and he will always help you. He will stay late to make sure you understand something, and you will definetly get an A if you attend class and do the projects
