I am so glad I took Professor Esposito's class. He made Greek drama exciting and fun. In other discussion classes I've had, the teacher will often say a prompt and no one will really have anything to say about it. In Esposito's class, the things he talked about were so interesting, and he himself was so engaging, that there were no such moments.

Not the worst class or professor ever. His lectures sometime seem pointless, and sometimes make very little sense. Most of the time the connections he makes seem like stretches. Lots of opportunity for extra credit, and the papers are not too hard.

If you do the readings and write the essays, you will likely do well, but not because of his teaching. He is often unprepared and goes on inconsequential and (often weirdly sexual) tangents that will not help you decipher the texts at all. You learn much more in discussion than class. Calls every female student "dear". Wouldn't recommend taking.

Espo was a great professor. He is very intimidating at first, and you will feel like dropping out in the beginning. However, the hw and tests are very concise, and if you do the work and reading the class is great. He is very engaging and I really learned a lot. He gives A LOT of extra credit.

Esposito can be very overwhelming at first, but you will grow to love him. He has such passion for what he teaches that you can't help but become interested. He assigns a 1 page essay every week for CC101 so be prepared for a lot of writing and reading. Do not skip the reading or the class.

Espo is one of my favorite teachers I've ever had, at first he seemed terrifying, but he's truly a funny and nice guy. His class has taught me a lot and we always have meaningful discussions. He's very passionate about what he teaches. Assigns 1 paper a week but they aren't too hard and are usually 1-2 pages. Really improved my writing.

Wouldn't necessarily call this class Beginning Greek 2, it was more like Learning Fun with Professor Esposito. We did learn a lot about Greek, but during the 2 hour lectures he would constantly spin out into digressions, all of which were extremely interesting and you could tell how passionate he was on the subject.

Esposito is such a caring and nice person. He really made the class interesting. I'm a science major with very little background on greek tragedies and some times that affected the argument in my papers, which affected my grade. Had to go to his office hours to clarify my background info. Very helpful and eager to help. Lets people revise papers.

Great teacher. He is very fair with his assignments and grading. If you think you deserve a better grade, he'll gladly look it over again with you. Also, I had a death in the family while taking his class and he gave me as much time as I needed catching up on my assignments. Take his class if you can.

One of my favorite professors at BU! His knowledge of the classical world is impressive, and provided wonderful context for class readings. I absolutely loved his high level of enthusiasm--he really loves the content and it shows. Also very involved class with much more discussion than lecture. Extremely eager to help you succeed: much extra credit
