I didnt have any interest in taking theology, but I have to say this man made it one of my favorite classes of the semester. He is definitely cool, gives great examples, and is very clear. Readings can be tough (or maybe im just not a theology person!) but they are managable and he grades papers more than fairly- in fact rather easily. TAKE MILES

My favorite class this semester, and one of my favorite teachers at Loyola. Very enthusiastic, a lot of reading, but otherwise not too much homework. He only gave 1 in-class test and 1 paper (6 pages, it counts as the final). I would definitely take him again.

If he likes you, you're set, if not class can be hell. Very obscure and the books he has you read are some of the worst Ive ever read. In addition he can be arbitrary. I requested an extention for extenuating circumstances, and he said "take as long as you need" then refused to accept the paper

Definetly one of the more enthusiastic and interesting teachers I've had. There was a lot of material covered, and a fair amount of writing, but I didn't find his grading to be particularly harsh.

Dr. Miles is the best! He will do ANYTHING to make his point - including giving examples involving threesomes and flipping off God! He is so energetic he make Theology fun. Tough grader, though.

I HATE HIM. He speaks so above your level. It is usually just 2 or 3 people that talk the whole time and can actually follow him. He gives HW every night and his a ver hard grader when it comes to papers.
