Comment:
Fantastic prof. Teaches tough courses, but he teaches them well. Lectures are very high quality, attending is mandatory. His assignments and exams are very difficult and come directly from lecture material. Firm but fair marker. Gives great inventives for improvement throughout the term. No nasty surprises on exams, but remember your statistics.

Took this class over the summer. If I was a Chemistry major, I would have loved his class! However, the content itself is pretty boring, so there was only so much he could do for me. That being said, he gave really good analogies and explanations of concepts. The class itself is probably the hardest of the intro science classes...

I took this class in a 3 week condensed course. I think no matter who the professor, it is a ton of work. But he is passionate about what he teaches and clear slides. Posts slides after the lecture so take your own notes and follow in text. Doesn't do many examples in class but easy to get help outside of class.

Doesn't post complete notes, he expects you to memorize everything he says, and most of what he says isn't mentioned in the textbook. Only posts notes days after class which makes them useless when he gives pop quizzes in the next class. Tests are ridiculously hard. Doesn't go through examples very much and when he does its not in great detail.

Cool teacher, used lots of analogies to explain some rather abstractish content. His class was quite easy as long as you showed up, payed attention and did the assigned work.

This was a dry class, and having it at 8:30am didnt help me stay awake. That being said, Steve trys his best to keep it interesting with funny, helpful analogies. A good guy overall.

Good prof. Really nice guy, slaps the bass. The only reason people have trouble hearing him is because other people are talking(1st year engineers are like children). Material can be dry, get lots of sleep or you'll lose focus real fast.

Super tough prof to follow because he's pretty monotone, lecture was really hard to pay attention in, no examples and notes weren't very good. His problem sets were super hard and the exams were not relevant to the class notes

Midterm and final had little to do with class notes, no examples used, and problem sets were ridiculously hard and worth a lot. Avoid taking the class if possible. Fellow chem majors, take it with a different prof!

He obviously loves chemistry and has great analogies (Lego among other things). He's more than happy to answer questions well beyond the scope of his teachings. He had my complete attention all the time, not because I like Chemistry but because I like to know how Chemistry works. He teaches the latter.

Terrific professor. He explains the material well and throws in some great jokes while doing it. He's also just an overall nice guy, and very approachable. It's true, his exams are very difficult, but if you study his notes as well as the text book, you should be fine.

The material he tests on comes directly off his slides and the book. He marks hard. Read the book. Read every chapter. Make sure you read his "optional extra unit" as it had BIG marks assigned to it on the final!

One of the worst teachers you'll come across. You might as well not go to class if your stuck with him because his tests are irrelevant to the material he teaches and has the worst monotone voice. If you can, avoid him!

He's a pretty good teacher, marks hard but at least the content on his exams comes from his lecture slides so if you study and pay attention its not bad. Theres really no surprise random questions, but they are hard

Useless... that would explain his ability of teaching. Extemely hard exams, he neglects to do examples in class, couldn't be bothered to post the midterm with the answers until the night before the final... and he smells of crumpets and tea. Oh yeah, he's arrogant as well. AVOID.
