Dr. Town is truly a wonderful person. He is very intelligent and cares deeply about his subject and his students. If you apply yourself you will be fine. If you go to him for help you will be fine. It is important to note that he can be a little rough around the ages, and when you ask him questions you may need to help him understand your question.

Dr. Town can be a little condescending at times. He seemed like he expects us to just get it after the first time he explains it. He gets a little impatient when something takes a little longer than he expected.

I had him for Tower Choir, Music Theory, Sight Singing/Ear Training, and Applied Voice. He is very passionate at what he does. He does seem to downgrade you sometimes if you aren't at the level he wants you to be, but usually good. Pretty nice! (And has an excellent mustache!!!)

had him for both tower choir and voice. preferred him much more as a private vocal instructor than as a conductor. very intelligent and will help you all he can if you just ASK! weird and quirky but an overall nice guy.

He's not the greatest at teaching theory, since he can only explain things in one way, his way. And his conducting isn't the greatest either, but he is very passionate about what he does, and that passion is contagious. I love the music rep he picks, and his programs are always fun, entertaining, and excellent.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. He is very unprofessional and cares little for his students. He puts on an act in front of students and professors when in actuality, he does not care about anyone but himself. He is really hard to understand in Theory never giving a straight answer and treating his students like they are stupid.

Very nice man and an okay conductor...he has a weird habit of conducting a piece in class the same everyday and then changing it during the concert...a little frustrating, but he's probably caught up in the moment. He is very "proper" and "square" or "formal" in his speech and presentation. sometimes makes students feel stupid unknowingly in theory

He's a nice man and he's very passionate about music. When you ask a question he doesn't always know what your asking so you don't get the answer you want which can be confusing. You might have to rephrase your question couple of times even if he looks at you like your dumb which he does sometimes
