I would put myself to sleep by reading a few pages from my stat textbook. In the world as it is, I made about a meelion in the 6 years after I aced this class. I always did all the hw. Dr. Sworder stepped through the proofs in correct detail and was available to solve hw with the class and individually.

I tried to crack Engineering Calculus 3A 3 times at 2 different colleges. Dr. Sworder enabled me to firmly establish the foundations to excel in the engineering program. Our homework was even # problems. In the time after his lecture he would solve any problem we asked. We A students chose the hardest and odd # ones. He taught us to shred problems

I took a professor for Math at LB State and Sworder ranks just like them! Dudes, if you guys can't handle him then don't even consider transferring to a 4-year because you won't make it! Study and you will be fine. Slack off and you won't!!!

Sworder is a good professor. This is college and one must put in the time, especially in Math. I enjoyed his class and he went out of his way to help me. In fact, he is one of my favorites.

What a BIG mistake that was. We started with class full of students and by the time we were done with his semester, it was only less then 10 students. He took lots points out of free style exams even that answers are right. I even asked if I need to write all the steps and he told us that we don't need to, if our answer is right. Which is fair.

Worst math teacher I've ever had... and I only had him for about a week before I couldn't take it. I had taken trig before, but he simply didn't teach you anything. He forces you to read the book he wrote (which isn't even bound and costs 80 dollars) instead of teaching you in class. If you don't teach then what am I paying you for? Don't take him.

If you need to learn everything step by step, very VERY slowly then take his class. He is very strict about food, water, and attendance and will mark points off if you break any of his rules. He is there to teach you and that's IT. Do his homework and you will be fine. Your grade is based on only 4 exams and NOTHING else.

This class is horrible i can not stand this professor, he spends 10 min on a 2 min problem, marks down points if you go to the bathroom and if you have a drink in class even if your not drinking it and even if its water. its like he had a bad school experience and hes taking it out on his students. I had never been good at math prior to taking his classes. Every problem was broken down to its basic form, making it easy for us nonmath people to understand. After his class I honestly loved math. So far, I haven't had other professors like him. To me he was pretty funny.

If you're good at math, you wouldn't be in 124. Anyways, he isn't as sharp as he use to but he's been dealing with a lot of health issues. Exams are directly from the hw. So if you do the hw, you should get an A. 5 exams but you don't take the final if you've done well in the prior exams. Good guy and he means well but not as sharp as he use to be.

This guy is a total jerk. I am great at math. I have recieved an A every year sice high school, except with this guy. He finds insignificant reasons to deduct points off exams, he gives little to no insight into problems, doesn't go over homework...the list goes on. This man is a sad excuse for a teacher and should be fired. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!

A man that not only obviously hates his job, but hates his students. Has verbally insulted students on multiple occasions for asking questions. Fly's through problems with no explanation. This man should be fired as soon as possible. If there are no open classes, wait a semester and take it with a different teacher. DO NOT TAKE AT ALL COSTS!!!
