I LOVE Dr. Brown! This class requires a lot of reading and memorization, but it's a perfect prep if you want to go to law school. Everything he expects of you is straightforward with no tricks. He is so respected and genuinely wants you to learn. Moot Court was also the BEST week of the semester, even though the paper was long! Such a good prof.

Dr. Brown is by far the best professor I've had at Auburn so far! If you do the work and pay attention in class, you will make an A. The tests are very straightforward, and there are only two. He also cares about his students so much. He even invited our class over for dinner.

Super easy class. Quizzes and discussion post due Fridays of most weeks, and you can expect to get a 100% on these. 3 exams through the semester, no final. I almost got a B just because I forgot 2 quizzes, but he lets you make these up for 1/2 credit. Just be accountable and don't forget due dates!! He assigns a lot of reading, but I rarely read

Dr. Brown is the best professor at Auburn. His class requires a ton of reading, but get started early. And even if you don't get started early, if you start prepping for the midterm at least 4 days ahead of tie you'll get an A. Just make sure to start early in moot court.

Dr. Brown may be the best professor at Auburn, he is extremely qualified and a brilliant teacher. He is really smart and knows what he is talking about, but he will never make you feel dumb. Read and keep up with the cases, his exams are not ones you can cram for. Moot court is time consuming but it is a tradition he loves

Dr. Brown is absolutely wonderful. He's very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Tests are straight forward- know full case name, how court ruled, and why, and that's pretty much the whole test. Moot court is time consuming and stressful, but fun. Just show up to class and do the reading and an A is very attainable.

Dr. Brown is fantastic. This class is difficult and not an easy A, but it is very interesting. Read the cases, know the terms, and always be prepared. Notecards are a big help. If you procrastinate, this is not the class for you.

Dr. Brown's civil libs class isn't easy, but it's both really interesting and also great law school prep. READ THE CASES ON TIME. And make case briefs on notecards. You must have all of the cases memorized for the tests, and there are too many to cram in the night before. Moot Court is lots of work, so start early. Go to his office hours.

Dr. Brown is possibly the smartest, coolest man I know. He will stop at nothing to make sure that you understand the material. He expects a lot from you, but you will learn it and you will feel smart. He's also the sweetest man and will help you however you need it. Also, I think he might have magic powers. GO TO CLASS.

Great professor! Very thought-provoking class. He talks at a fast pace, but just write down as much as you can and narrow it down with the study guide. Since the minimesters are so short during summer, we didn't have to do the term paper but he graded pretty easily on everything else.

I am surprised to see all the great reviews on here. I am finding it VERY hard to learn in his class. Speaks very low, and doesn't stay on point. Hard to take notes because he rambles so much and thats what he tests on. Had to spend 2 hours a week doing taxes as a volunteer for 6 weeks as a part of credit (at night). It's just an okay class.

Coming from a different background, I thought the course was pretty challenging. That said the professor was very knowledgeable of the material and the course was very interactive. The fact that i was rarely bored in a class that is at night and goes for over two hours is telling. If you have a reason to take the course do so. It was quite good.

This is my second class with Professor Brown and I still think he's a really great teacher, especially now that I've had a chance to compare him to other Political Science teachers. It is easy to speak your mind in his class and he makes everything we learnve interactive so all those old court cases are actually very interesting. Great teacher.
