Awesome professor, had no interest in this class but it turned out to be one of my favorite classes. His lectures are interesting. You don't really need the text book. Pay attention and study should be an easy A.

SUper super easy... .NO need for textbook. unnecessary waste of money as he goes thru the questions from the back of the text .. just read the packet he hands out.. that's enough. interesting class. love it!

This Professor is very laid paid and entertaining.Personally sociology is very boring!! I had no interest in the subject which did affect my grade. He does not like lateness. Text book is a must! he wrote the book! Took him in spring 2013 for elements of sociology. overall I would recommend him!

Really good professor. You don't really need the textbook because he gives out a 30 pages worth of note the first day of class. Final grade is mostly based on test scores. He gives 3 exams with only 25 questions, so it's very easy to get a low grade if you did not study. Overall its an easy class. Just study everything on the notes

He is a very good Prof! You can ask questions and he will help you out. One thing i will say is his class is based alone on test scores, so if you know your a bad test taker id advise you not to take his class. If you are taking his class don't buy the book because you don't need it since he gives you outlines. Good luck!

Over all not a hard class. Doesn't assign any homework, just 3 or 4 exams throughout the semester. If you take good notes that helps because the answers to his exam questions is usually what he discusses in class. Textbook doesn't help however the questions in the end of each chapter are usually on the exam. I would recommend

this professor is a terrible grader he took off 10 points from my exam because i didnt write word for word, be happy if you pass. his book is useless and he just gives you five questions for the test some come from the back of his book and his notes. but word of advice rememeber every thing he says and do not try to put in your own words.

Worst professor EVER. Unreasonable grader. HARD exams. MEAN person. Don't be deceived by his 5 question essay tests. If you miss ONE word that he's looking for, you are DONE for. Forget a C... you are definitely getting D-F.

One sucky thing is that the tests determine your grade and he only gives 5 questions. Sometimes negative, but overall explained what needed to be explained. Take a lot of notes, dont' rely only on the outline he hands out. I never used the book except for the end of chapter questions.

I looked forward to this class!! The discussions and stories were interesting. I found that some of his stories made it easier for me to understand the material and further more helped when answering questions on exams. Although there are only 5 questions on the exams once u listen to him in class, you will be fine!

took summer course. no homework. Just midterm and final exam, 5 short answer questions each. Tough grader but all you have to do is memorize the concepts and you have your A. if you do decide to put in your own words be careful because he will take points off if you miss 1 critical word.
