Comment:
Steven loves economics. He takes the time to explain every little detail ad nauseam (I think he thinks everyone in the class doesn't have common sense/is kind of dumb). I have skipped a lot of classes and done just fine. I have one of the best grades in the class. If you take advantage of the index card he allows in exams, you'll be fine!

Professor Hayworth can be a little plain at times, and everything he goes over in class is online, but i find it better to go to class. He can answer questions, as well as, give hints to what is on the tests. There is only 3 tests to make up your grade, but he curves it. Can be boring to sit through, but he lets you use a notecard on the tests!

Comment:
For the envi students, there is a serious disconnect from economics knowledge. For the econ students, there is a disconnect of envi knowledge, and hayworth does a horrible job of bridging these gaps, leaving everyone confused, frustrated, and with poor grades. DO NOT TAKE. He barely understands what is going on, and poorly explains the material.

Professor Hayworth was an outstanding professor. He keeps the material simple and easy to understand, as it should be for a gen-ed class. There are 3 tests and that make up the final grade, but he allows you to bring a 4x6 notecard to each exam. Come to class and listen and you should do fine. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Hayworth is great. Yes its lecture heavy and the material isnt that exciting, but its a theory class and thats to be expected. Calculations are mostly separated out into quizzes. Test questions are straight from lecture which are all on canvas. Lets you use a page of notes. No textbook necessary.

Graded only on 3 exams. Doesn't really care about students. Lectures slides are available on canvas and he just reads from them in class and adds a little more information during class. Overall, the class is okay not too easy and not too hard. Does not offer extra credit or other assignments. Exams are curved based on highest person grade

class consists of 3 exams. exams are curved which is nice so a C is a B and a B is an A etc. lectures are him reading off the notes which are online but it helps to come to class to hear examples. textbook is online but you can get an A w/out ever looking at it. Allows a note car with info for test. Overall good prof, no surprises on tests.

well he is an econ professor if you find a way to stay awake during his lecture you will pass, because he takes questions from his test from his lecture, also good is notes are online and gives cheat sheet for test

No doubt he knows what he's talking about and it is a lecture. He essentially just reads from the notes that are always available on canvas. The class should be an easy A unless you go into it expecting to just guess on the exams. There are only 3 tests in the class and THAT'S IT. Each thest is 1/3 of your grade and each test is over 1/3 of course.

I mean his class is really boring but attendance isn't mandatory and his exams are exactly from his notes which he posts online. I rarely show up (I'm great at studying though) and do well on exams. There's only 3 exams and the exams are the only grade in the class. I missed an exam for spring break and he let me retake it whenever. Super chill guy

Difficult lecture style class held in a giant lecture hall. No book was required when I took the class, he simply droned on for the entire class period moving from topic to topic. Nice guy, he seemed eager to help when I seen him outside of class.

Professor Hayworth is a great lecturer, and that is what this class is, a lecture in a lecture hall. As long as you pay attention and take notes you'll get an easy A. He seems like a great guy during the lecture, but he is very condescending when asked for individual help. The guy knows his stuff, and I'd take him again.

Comment:
Steven was not helpful outside of class. He was extremely condescending when you asked for help and for a gen ed, this class was too difficult. The fact we were only graded on 3 exams added far too much stress. The exam questions were VERY specific to individual sentences in the 50 pages of lecture notes. Very hard! Would not recommend as a gen ed.

I barely showed up to this class after the second week. All he does is lecture from notes he posts online under Canvas. If you read through the notes and outline them, you will be fine. I wish his lectures would have been more interesting. Try to show up once a week to stay updated on exam dates and what lectures he is on.

He was an okay professor but all he does is go over the notes in class, which are already posted on canvas, so if you study notes then you will be fine. His lectures are very dry and him as a person can be surprisingly somewhat rude at times but if I ignore these two things, overall I would take the class again.

Comment:
I believe Hayworth is way underrated, he is a high class professor in a lacking program. The guy is the real deal with a stellar education. The lectures are a bit dry, but I believe that to be an effect of dumbing down due to poor class performance. He's one of the good ones in my book!

Comment:
Mr. Hayworth's teaching style is extremely lecture heavy. There are 3 exams, no homework, no readings (there's no book). He posts his lectures online and reads them word for word in class. You're on your own when studying for exams. His exams are okayish: hard but if you read literally everything you'll make it. Be prepare for obscure questions.

His lectures are dry, but the class is not that hard at all. You have two readings to do a week, and write a one page summary for both (SINGLE spaced). He only gives a midterm and a final. I highly recommend using a cheat sheet for both tests (he lets you) (they are not multiple choice at all.) He has all his notes posted online too.

I literally went to class the day before the exams and on exam days and passed with a A- . His notes are posted online and his test are verbatim from those. If you take the time to study, you should pass no problem. The curve also helps a lot. His class is really hard not to pass.

He's an alright prof., I've had better, and I've had worse. He seems to be monotone at times. Some days the lectures are long. He's funny though and gives good examples. No homework at all, only 3 tests. But I'd recommend going to class and taking notes, because the tests are somewhat tough.
