Dr. Rogak's new and improved MECH 305 was a disaster. It is hard to believe that was an improvement over last year. The tests hardly reflected the lectures.

Comment:

Rogak may be an intelligent professor with skillful party tricks (dice, cards), but he really has no place in a lecture hall unless you sign up for a class specifically for him that isn't mandatory. He explains things clear enough, but is utterly boring and uncreative. The problem arises when you get to an exam and realize he taught you nothing....

Rogak is the definition of incompetence. Unclear with explanations, unable to organize his own teaching schedule, he makes sudden adjustments to labs/tutorials without giving a thought about the other courses his students are taking. Hes arrogant at best and is a nightmare to listen to as he tries to explain things he knows less about than you do.

Terrible prof. Take a look at his website to find out what a pompous dbag he is. Ask him a question and he just pauses and looks at you weird. Takes forever explaining stuff. Seriously if you wanna do well in this course study on your own and skip lectures, I wish I did that!

This guy is absolutely useless. Never answers any questions - he always says: "we'll cover that later" or "let's move on." He asks for peoples' feedback but doesn't follow it. I didn't learn anything in class. He degrades students. I went to his office for help, he told me that I'm wrong 3x in 5 minutes, and didn't really explain anything beyond.

Are you freaking kidding? He gave us the actual question for one of the 6 weekly quizzes because we had done poor on the 2 prior. I'm not talking about 50% poor. I'm talking about 10% poor. On our final quiz, he wrote how "heartbroken" he was when only 20 out of 120 students got the correct answer. Take a hin, move aside for a better prof to teach.

This guy just sucks, even by university prof standards. You can hear the contempt in his voice when he talks to students. He gets angry when the class does poorly on quizzes but doesn't seem to care about teaching us in an effective matter. He will explain something, we will ask questions, and he will tell us to consult the text.

Wow, I dont know where to begin.This is one of the worst people you will ever meet. Besides the fact that he cant teach, he degrades his students, discourages them, insults them, and treats them in a compeletly unprofessional manner. Im surprised that he is still around. He writes "Its too late to try now, might as well give up" on student's exams.

I dont even know where to begin. He is completely unprofessional towards his students, discourages them, insults them, and has the balls to say they're not trying hard enough. YOU CANT TEACH, TAKE A HINT. The people who fail were mainly under the presumption that he could teach and that he cares about his students. I dont know why he isnt fired yet

Not a bad guy...but ridiculously boring and unhelpful. Doesn't tell us that we thermo is covered on our "math/fluids" exam until 2 days before the exam, which doesn't help. I sure hope this 'team leader' does a decent job with 222 from here on out, so that it's at least somewhat better than that god-awful 221...

Decent guy. Very bright, sucks at teaching though. He doesn't get the point across, the midterm is totally different then what you studied. He also spends way too long on one topic and all you think is WTF is this guy talking about!?
