Never had a better prof. He ensures to explain concepts in multiple ways, asking questions to confirm our understanding and providing us questions. A lot of testable content comes from what he says in class so write it down. Textbook is useful if you miss what he says but otherwise not. Make sure he is the only prof teaching if you want to pass.

MBG3080 is a hard course but he explains all his slides with simplicity so that we can understand! Speaks at a slow-normal pace so that typing up my notes is very easily done. One of the best teaching professors in molecular biology and microbiology.

He teaches how to learn in his class. Very respectable, hooks your attention, appropriate pauses. There is lecture quizzes to keep you on track. Research assignment to sharpen critical thinking. Tests to push your learnt material to the MAX. Have fun D

I love him! Great prof .. hard material to learn but very interesting. He does his best to make sure everyone understands the concepts. Go to class because he explains his slides VERY well.

Overall great prof! He didn't post up slides until the day of the lecture which gave me motivation to attend class. Referred to us like we were in a conversation rather than in a classroom so it was easy to participate in discussion. I would definitely take another one of his courses.

Yes, he does have an accent but he puts in the extra effort to make sure you understand the material (plus its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be). His knowledge, kindness and geeky humour definitely are what I enjoyed the best. He's definitely one of my fave profs - I mean who else could make studying bacteria interesting?
