I hated him at first, I came in for office hours during my first project and he went on for so long about every little mistake as if it was a personal attack on him. But then for my second project, he loved my designs and told me how much I improved, so I'm not really sure how to feel about him. Talks a lot (went on for 20 minutes after class once)

The best professor in FIT. He has a lot of experience and loves sharing with you. He is super inspiring and respects your ideas. He is more like a mentor because he knows what you want and helps you to achieve your goals. He is also generous and kind.

Oh god I just love this lovely old man!!! Take him if you could!!! As far as you follow his instruction absolutely, he is very sweet and not scary. A little homework, but you will improve very soon! LOVE HIM!

Best teacher I have ever had at FIT! While a lot of people don't enjoy his lengthy lectures I found them to be so inspiring! I have learned more than just how to draw in his class, he gives you such valuable knowledge on the fashion industry and life. So inspirational and wants to see everyone do well! Absolutely take him, you will not regret it!!

While Stipelman can have an intimidating reputation, he's a sweetheart. He really helped me improve my fashion art because his demos are amaaazing. He pushes you and expects a lot, but in the best way. He makes you BETTER. As long as you respect his time and come to class on time and prepared and awake, he is not scary like some say.

LIFE CHANGING. seriously incredible I love this man so much. Incredible at teaching, so talented and I leave his class inspired every time. He's tough, but pushes you to benefit you. He is very dedicated to his students if you need help he is available 24/7. But if he notice you don't care, he won't give a damn about you or your work. Just FOLLOW his instructions and at the end you will see it was worth it. My illustrations changed so much to the best I can't even believe it. TAKE IT!!! And get ready to work!!!
