Dr white teach very well...BUTTT, HE HAS VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS when it comes to grading!!! very hard grader..! do not count on partial credits...also first and second exams were so hard! i recommend to take this class at CSU SF... lot easier over there...

Though his lectures can be quite deep and complicated, they are informative. Tests are torturous (4h/20pg/long answer) but fair grading. Lab taught real world practices. Requires final independent project/paper/presentation. Stay up to date on lab notebook. Learn how to fully understand journal articles.

I have never had a professor like this. I love his lectures. He presents material in such an interesting manner. But like everyone said, he does talk fast and incorporate a lot of information. This is not an effective teaching method b/c I ended not fully grasping the key point. I felt that I had learned a lot but so much that I'll never retain it.

This is a beautiful subject- sadly you dont really get time to learn it the way you might want to since he goes toooooooo fast. I saw many grades including my own shooting downhill in this course inspite of great grades in other 100 level courses..which by the way required 1/100th the work I put into this course.

Dr.White is brilliant,but this has no correlation to his teaching method. This is a tough topic and he's excited to teach it, however he tries to incorporate new things happening in the field while we are learning basic concepts. Its nice that he tries to incorporate real applications,but difficult when trying to understand fundamental concepts.

Very fast lecture pace. Tons of difficult material. Everything on tests IS covered in lecture - pay attention to diagrams/charts. Really does care about students, wants you to learn. ASK Q's! Tests are difficult, but grades ALWAYS curved to your advantag
