Professor Myers is a great instructor. He is well organized, but he is a little slow to update grades and the content of his blackboard. If you do not like group projects, don't take his CMPR 100 class. All the homeworks are group projects. He does have you do a lot of reading from the textbook, so prepare to take notes while you read.

I heard great things at SAC about him, and OMG he is what they say, great professor!! I was afraid of this class because I'm not trying to become a programmer, but if you do the reading before class, you will not get lost with his lectures. I'm so glad I decided to take this class at Santiago Canyon Community College.

Stew is a nice guy, but I wouldn't go out of my way to take his class. If I had to, I would, but I wouldn't be SUPER psyched about it. He is super laid back and easy going, but I feel like he is a bit unorganized. He also missed SEVERAL class meetings without notifying us by email. It'll be an easy class to pass, whichever one by him you take.

mediocre professor. takes a few days to reply to emails and is very vague in those emails so you send him another email and it takes a few more days to reply. doesn't give clear instructions and expects you to figure out. lenient grader. forgets to explain projects but expects you to know what to do when its not even in syllabus

Great teacher, answers emails, easy grader. 12 essay tests- lets you use mind maps make sure to get all details - shouldn't be a problem. Got 85% and then 98% on the second test. Haven't finished the course yet, but sure I'm getting an A cause of other things added. Great Teacher he's super cool, gets the class is short. Keep up on PROJECTS!

Prof. Myers is a really cool guy. The class is not difficult at all as long as you have an inkling of computer knowledge. He promotes a very laid-back atmosphere. The lectures can be a bit boring at times. Oh, and be prepared to hear the phrase, "Back in the old days..." a billion times. Overall, though, this class was easy.

Pretty easy tests. Manage your time there are 10 excel projects plus 4 access databases. Group homework is not to bad with the right group. Also there was a website we had to make as a group. Most important thing is to not let the work pile up. I took the 4 week class, it would be a lot easier doing the 8 week class.

Not my favorite teacher - but again (as he says every fifteen seconds), I did get an A. It was an accelerated course, so we learned everything on our own and came in for tests. Because of that, his teaching style didn't matter to me. I just felt like I would die of boredom if I took an actual class from him.

This was a 4 week summer class. The hardest thing about it for me was time management; there were 14 projects, 12 essay quizzes, and 3 essay tests. Those who struggle with writing should avoid. Students could use mind maps on tests.The entire book was self-taught to students taking this course. Everyone who completed the course got an A or B.

Took the 4wk online class. He's a cool instructor. Projects and quizes are easy, but they take some time to complete. Exams are T/F and a few short answer questions (answers are in the chapter summaries). I didn't read the book, just listened to the audio lectures. Important thing is to manage your time and you'll do fine.

Horrible Horibble Horrible Teacher! You have to READ the WHOLE book and he will test you on the WHOLE book! You read 5 chapters, then take a test, which he doesnt tell you what to focus on, just the entire book. If you want to get a hold of him, give him about 2 weeks to answer your question, and even then he wont respond! Bad Bad Stay away.

Professor Myers is a really nice teacher. I took this class on-line and it was fairly easy but the Excel and Access projects are extremely time consuming (DO NOT WAIT LAST MINUTE TO DO THEM). If you are looking for a class with flexibility and do not mind teaching yourself, this class is for you.

This class is a piece of cake. The projects are very very easy but they take some time to do, so start them early. The quizzes he gives every week are easy. They are just five True/False questions. The only thing that bugged me was that he doesn't give any kind of review for his tests or the final. He's a pretty cool guy though!
