prof blumin really loves what he does! he is enthusiastic and is dedicated to helping students as well as getting to know them. he is nice and approachable and has a good sense of humor.

He talks a bit too long for my liking (10 mintutes over class time was the usual), but he definately has a passion for history. He goes off on tangents, but they are at least somewhat related. Overall, a good class, a lot of reading, but I think I learned something.

Often wanders off on tangents and seems vaguely annoyed the proletariat never rose up, but very knowledgable, chooses good readings, great at getting students engaged.

Classes can at times seem to drag, however if you are interested in the subject then his depth of knowledge helps. He definitely takes the time to help his students learn the information. You will learn a lot of you make an effort to get involved!
