I found Stiles to be very unorganized. Didn't understand a single thing she lectured about, mainly because I don't even think she knew what she was talking about. That being said, the course itself is EXTREMELY easy and she was pretty helpful while writing the essays. Nice enough lady, just not a great professor.

She rambles. A LOT. I would avoid her classes at all cost. She can be a tough marker if you don't attend class or don't write a way she likes or understands. Attendance should be mandatory or you will lose points. In the novel however, you can definitely skip a class or two and still pass. Overall, not a favorite.

English composition was brutal. If she likes your style of writing you will get a high mark but if not she has no problem giving your essay a failing grade. I wouldn't recommend this course if you can avoid it. This year she made attendance mandatory; if you missed 3 classes you got 10 percent off of your final grade.

She seems to be too nice at times, causing students not to take her seriously. A little scatterbrained. She cares a great deal about students well-being though. Overall a fair marker. If you put in the effort, it is easy to make a great mark. I found she was great for extra help. (She's not the crazy feminist everyone makes her out to be)

She has traits of the typical "cool" proff of tv or movie lore, shows up late, seems understanding of people being tired is always overtired herself. Worst prof tho. threatans to take away 10% of final grade if you miss 3+ lectures/labs but that is a lie since i made 80 and "lost" the 10%. lace your papers with malechauvanism and see what happens

A total hypochondriac...shows up for class each day whining about her latest "illness." Promises to teach certain things, but never does. Manages to spent an entire hour fiddling with devices like VCR's and overhead projectors that she can't seem to figure out...week after week. I have taken 2 classes with her...indeed, a waste of $1100...
