Be prepared to read a lot! I read every chapter and never missed a class (attendance isn't mandatory) and I got an A but I truly had to work for it. He lets you redo each assignment once and drops your lowest quiz grades which is nice.

horrible professor! Took 3 weeks to respond to an email i sent regarding a paper due. Very pompous and arrogant. Told me my paper sounded unintelligent-and his comments were condescending. Classes are writing intensive. Not sure how I sounded unintelligent-especially as I am an A student in most classes especially psych.

I would not recommend the online version, as it was very much self-taught. Expectations for assignments were not clearly communicated and it took several weeks for him to respond to my email questions. Additionally, Dr. Quirk's comments on my papers seemed condescending and not constructive, and his rubrics were not his complete expectations.

Textbook is absolutely mandatory for online quizzes, which are a big portion of grade. Helpful and kind teacher, quizzes somewhat easy if you put effort into reading chapters and research paper was simple as well. Only thing I had trouble with was what to study for exams, which knocked my grade down a little. However, plenty of EC opportunities.

Not a bad teacher, possibly a little condescending but extremely intelligent and funny. He rewards you if you go to class by giving you topics of extra credit essays on the exam. Gives extra credit write up assignments and gives you e.c for SONA credits too. It's hard to do bad.

Took it online.Takes 4-5 days to respond to any question.Told me that the final covered material learned after midterm- wrong. The final covered the whole semester. He says the questions for exams come from weekly quizzes-there were only 5 questions from them.Watch your quizzes-he marks a lot of correct answers wrong!NEVER updates grades.

Quirk is concerned with promoting his own ideas, political agenda and wants you too see how smart he is. He was very condescending to me when I would ask questions. He assumed that I was just some lazy college student but the fact is I love psyc. and usually excel in all my classes. Unless you are a stats genius take someone else!

Very pompous and arrogant! By far the worst professor I've had...EVER! He does not care if you learn the material, he just wants you to know how smart he is. He acts as if he enjoys when students are having a hard time in his class. He offered very little help, even during office hours. AVOID HIM!!!

Hard material no matter who you take it with. He is very smart and knows what he is talking about. Going to see him in office hours much more beneficial than just going to class. I enjoyed his tangents that he went on sometimes. Assignments are hard but helpful to learning the material covered. Straight forward grading scale. Hes very approachable.

Stuart Quirk is one of the most pompous, arrogant pricks I've ever had to endure on this campus. When he's not occupied hitting on the young 20-somethings in the front row (creepy), he's showing off how smart he is by lecturing in a manner that does a better job of showing off his intellect than it does getting the material through to his students.

nice, funny, brought in case studies but tough class. *must read book*, no attendance policy but go anyways & sit in front. form a study group, do the ex.cr., & go to his office hours!! kinda lenient on paper but don't slack. did this & got a B in his class. but, exams & study guides=frustrating. 1/2 the study guides didn't help.

Stuart is a great teacher. I found him to be a bit eccentric, but that is what I liked about him. He is not an easy teacher though. You do need to study so if your lazy be prepared to work. He is a fair teacher though.

Quirk is a nice guy but his class is horrible and his test are ridiculously hard. I've taken two years of psych before him and did great but i had to struggle to get a C-. When drop deadline came in about 20 kids showed up with drop cards. I don't reccomend him unless you know your stuff VERY well.

Quirk is a nice guy, but he doesn't explain what he wants very well. He gives extra credit, which is good since you need it after you take his "quizes." They're more like exams. Good luck with those. Read the book! And sit close to the front if you can because he doesn't speak very loud and mumbles a lot. I got a B+ but I wouldn't take him again.

Nice guy, good humor but the class made me want to rip my hair out. Read the book, use the CD in the book, class is worthless. I was a psych major but Stuart changed my mind. I would NEVER reccomend this professor.

Kinda hard, you've gotta read the book. Lectures are funny, but the tests are tricky. At least he grades on a curve and most of the essays are extra credit. Grading is kinda weird though. He's a funny guy and if you need to talk to him he is easy to access. He expects everyone to be "young psychopathologists" though. I'd probably take him over
