She is a terrible professor. Can't teach and just assigns a bunch of in-class assignments. She is rude and disrespectful, and no one feels comfortable going to her for questions. Most of the class dropped before the drop deadline. Do not take if you don't need to.

I'll start by saying that I loved the lab, and my TA's. That said, Sue made the quizzes nearly impossible to do well on, and they might have well have been called exams, they were so difficult. I felt I was doing very well in the class, but my grades never reflected that because she took off as many points as she possibly could on everything.

BIOMI291 is the best lab course I've taken at Cornell. Sue is helpful and low-key. She's picky about notebook checks, and you have to do your prelab work to do well on her lab quizzes, but her students do much better on the practicals and recitation tests. And, she has an awesome plush cyanobacterium.

she has got to be the nicest TA in micro lab, she is willing to help out with all your questions and her grading is not bad at all, i have no idea what you guys are talking about when you bad mouth her, but she is a really nice teacher and the class is easy

She is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. Whatever interest in Microbiology I had previously is gone thanks to her. She is extremely rude and condiscending...not only does she dissuade the learning atmosphere through her unwillingness to help she actually discourages students from asking questions!
