There are no words to express the vast imagination and knowledge this women possesses and shares with her class. The best professor I have had, in any institution. She will drop anything to help you, responds to emails super fast, and assigns the most interesting readings, that create new and unique perspectives on life, culture and history.

Probably the best English professor, if not the best professor overall at SUNY Oneonta. Course readings were interesting, and Professor Bernardin is the sweetest woman you will ever meet.

Love her, great professor. So nice and helpful. You can get away with writing the papers without reading the books if you listen in class. Each class is just a group discussion of the book. Midterm and final on books, but she grades very easily. About 6-8 books to be read and about 9-10 essays. Final project is writing your own memoir, not hard!

BEST professor I've ever taken a class with. She's really nice, knows what she's talking about and loves what she does. She makes it easy to understand the material, especially if you do the work. There are a few papers and no final, as long as you do the work you can do well. Definitely take any class with her!

Took Prof. Bernardin for COMP 200 and Mark Twain (ALIT 372). LOVED Comp 200, but wasn't a fan of Twain. Great teacher, wonderful person, she's very knowledgable, funny, and genuinely interested in what she teaches. Twain just isn't my style. COMP 200 requires some work, not hard, Twain was really easy.

She's a cool lady, very cheerful and kind. You probably won't have a difficult time unless you loathe literature. She likes student feedback on books and what not. Easy to get along with for the most part.

Prof. Bernardin is a great teacher who makes it a point to know her students and their strengths. She is very encouraging and likes to bring out ideas, never being condescending about an opinion. Her class was definitely enjoyable and she picks really good novels to read. I took her Special Topics: Indigenous Lit course

Dr. Bernardin is the best professor I have ever had ANYWHERE. She is genuinely interested in the well being of her students, whether the problem is about academics or life in general. She is understanding and professional. I highly recommend her, but only if you are open minded and don't mind reading. If not, don't waste her time or yours.

I had her or indigneous lit. Very nice lady however she can be condescending at times. Looked at my clothing a lot when I spoke to her...I dont know what that is but her eyes trailed down my whole body when we spoke one on one. It's kind of weird. Very nice though and the class was insightful and easy. She is a fare grader and doesn't overload u.

One of the best professors I've had at Oneonta. She is open-minded, professional, and nice. The essays you have to write aren't that hard and she gives you plenty of time to get them done. If you ever need help with an essay she will set up a time that you can meet with her that works for you. Shes always cheerful and willing to give you advice.

I truly belive that she is actually one of the most unprofessional, biased and insincere teachersat this college. She plays favorites, does not give a damn if the students have any insight and talks down to her students with an air of superiority. Is unclear about hw and is very passive agressive. Just not a very honest person.

Great professor who actually seems to give a damn about her students. She's really pretty cool about not letting a paper go in until it's good enough and is great to talk to inside and out of class. Great teacher that does make you work a bit, but it more than pays off.
