Professor Hammond is a wonderful professor. She is intelligent, helpful, and extremely nice. She can be a bit of a space cadet, but her class is fairly easy and you can get as much out of it as you put into it.

Professor Hammond, is wonderful. Her lectures can be repetative, and can easily become confused - but she is absolutely brilliant. She is the epitome of an academic, and truly knows her stuff. She also happens to just be a very sweet old lady, very grandmotherly. Take her, you will be frustrated at some point, but it is completely worth it.

She is really sweet and very smart, however have feel that I have not learned anything in her class. Her grading is confusing. For instance, I will get back on paper with barely any critique and get a C. When I ask her about the paper, she says that she misunderstood what I was saying, but now she understands. Its really frustrating.

She's an okay professor. Forgets what she taught the day before, and often repeats lectures from weeks' past. There's a lot of reading, but it barely makes an impact on the class. Grading system is confusing. Lab program worthwhile.

She is extremely smart, but seems to have a very hard time getting that across to the class. Very forgetful, and often repeats herself. The material of the class is fasinating, at least for a Congresss nerd - but a worthwhile class for any GOVT major.

Unless you enjoy being asked the same questions repeatedly, reading an unhealthy amount and questioning your sanity twice a week I wouldn't recommend this professor. It is an easy A, but not worth the 2.5 hours per week you will have to hear her babble about the same things over and over.

She has a hearing problem. She is constantly forgetting things. Her grading system is fairly difficult: especially papers. Does not control the class. Sometimes I felt like I was back in high school; she needed to issue about 10 detentions. The field trips with the TA's are fun.

Ok her teaching style is pretty disorganized and you're probably not going to learn an extreme amount, but she's really nice. And it's an easy A if you put anything into it at all.

She knows a lot but has a hard time expressing that in the classroom. She's kinda old and disoriented, and comes late to class fairly often. Her tests are easy, but her lectures are fairly boring

Interesting class but she often seemed to be very confused. Wasn't very organized and drifted off topic a lot. However, she's a very nice lady who will help you a lot with your research paper if you go to her office hours. Exams aren't too bad but she grades papers pretty hard.

Nice lady, but she needs to retire. Asks the same questions every day: "How many of you work on the Hill?" and "How many of you have had an intro. to government class?" She doesn't know answers to many questions you ask, and she just seems really confused in the classroom.

good graduate course for a senior to take before they go to grad school. Seminar style - something poor students don't do well in - eflects what you will get in graduate school.
