Dr. Hurley is such a sweet lady, I loved her as a person, as a calc professor she is ok. She is willing to help which is what matters, if you go to her office hours you will receive all the help you need, if you don't you may struggle as she doesn't give many exams in class.

Comment:

May be the worst teacher I've ever had. She is rude and she makes you feel stupid when you ask her questions. Lucky for me I have some friends that are good in calc because they were necessary in me passing the class. If you take Dr. Hurley you're basically paying thousands of dollars to teach yourself. Don' take her!

Can't teach. Has bad habit of assigning problems she can't solve. One time she told us how to solve a problem. We took a quiz 10 min later and did exactly what she said and lost points because she taught it wrong. We talked to her, but she gave us no cred because it was still wrong regardless. Will ask for one thing and expect another. I'm physics.

worst finite math teacher.. can't even add and subtract.. however there is no attendance policy and if you know easy math well enough to read the chapter and teach yourself.. u can never go to class and still get an A just do the homeworks and pass the tests

I had Hurley for CalcII,III,Fnd.ofMath,Analysis.A,A,A,B+. She's fair and knows her math but she may be screwing up finite because it's simple and hardly math at all. Sometimes we rush over simple material and make silly mistakes. If you take her for true math courses you will learn the material and if you work you get the A.

Is about as fair and balanced as Fox news. Work hard in her class (the material is very high level and hard to comprehend for anyone) and get a 63 average which according to the syllabus is a D, but then you get an F. Her response: Cant pass somebody who did so poorly on the final. So if you want to work really hard for an F, take this course.

I suppose a nice lady, but an awful teacher. Will ask if 5x3=15 or not. Has students teach the class. Has not explained anything clearly all semester. Her tests aren't that hard if you study but unfair when grading because there is no partial credit on essay questions. Would not recommend.

One of the worst teachers ever - she knows absolutely nothing and makes mistakes while giving examples. Her usually response to questions is to look it up in the book. She doesn't even give partial credit on tests and gives questions that you didn't learn.

STAY AWAY!-she's knows nothing about CalcIII...she never even took it in college...extremely unclear, doesnt curve, can't even answer her own quest. or quest. u ask, tests are UNFAIR--tests you on material that she never taught...worst experience ever!!--do NOT take her...you'll regret it

Deffinitely a fair grader. Will curve if you put the effort in. Go to class do the assignments and you'll do fine. Lots of quizzes to help boost you up instead of all on a few tests. She knows her stuff, so if you arent getting your questions answered you aren't asking them right.

Calc 2 is hard enough, but to add british accent and sometimes her confusing herself? makes the class very hard, unless you're one of those gifted in math (few and far between) you'll need to study forever to do well in her class, sometimes if you ask a question she won't be able to answer it

Hurley is a horrible calc prof. She doesnt teach well and the tests arent what she went over in class... she stated "i know i never gave u anything like this but i wanted to see what ud do with it " ON A TEST!
