Very knowledgable. Interested in the subject matter. Engages students in important discussions. Encourages critical thinking. Great sense of humour; some swearing, but there are worse things in life. Can be intimidating at times, but welcome to the real world! She's real. Tells it like it is. It's refreshing.

I had a great experience with Prof J. She is fair, straightforward & upfront, loves her work & wants you to learn. A bit gruff but recognizes you in the hall years later - not many profs do that! E-mail your questions if you are intimidated - she answers quickly & clearly. Wish we had more like her!
