If you're not a film major it's an easy credit filler. You'll learn a few straight forward definitions about cinematography and then you're set. You watch movies then discuss the movie and techniques used. Some movies were good others were average. 1 quiz, 2 essay exams, and 1 final paper. She's nice and polite. Lectures were quite often dull.

This lady is up tight and boring. Going to lecture is like listening to a awkward machine give definitions of vocabulary words. She is not helpful at all. I have emailed her many times asking questions and she never gives me a straight answer. She always works around it and tells me it was discussed in lecture therefore I should know better

She is so helpful and clear in her lectures. I recommend taking her for anything in the Cinema Studies program. BEST professor in the program. She isn't pretentious, doesn't go off topic , 85& of the films we watched were great and fair grader! Just pay attention and do the readings and you'll get an A.

I have NO idea why people are saying she isn't nice. Maybe she's different in her Spanish classes but as far as World Cinema goes, she is SO nice! She's very VERY smart and incredibly helpful. Her class isn't easy but it isn't necessarily hard either.

I want to buck the trend of people only posting on this site if they have a polarized opinion of a professor. I'm not really sure why people don't like her. I'm not a native speaker - I'm not even that good at Spanish - and I managed an 'A'. Didn't really have to read the texts; just took lecture notes. Wasn't very stressful. I'd recommend her.
