Comment:
Boo! Nakely is the least helpful professor I have enountered at RU. She expects graduate level work and generates no interest in the material. She's kind of cute and funny but otherwise not the best teacher

This is not an easy A class, so don't expect to cruise through it. However, she teaches with a dedication and love for the subject matter that can sometimes unwillingly gage your interest. I came into this class with no interest in poetry and I left it as my absolute favorite class. She is very helpful/ interested in the success of her students.

Nakley was the best professor I have had at Rutgers. Not only is she willing to reward you for hard work, but she can invest her time and energy if you show interest. She gave me a lot of extra help and it was rewarded by good grades and helpful criticism. Students who claim she is ill-prepared were probably that way themselves.

Comment:
The previous comments on this instructor were not fair. People who write things like that are usually those who are not responsible, not prepared for class and blame things on others. While she was not the best I ever had, I loved her class.

Knows her subject, but cannot read student feedback. She had no idea how confused the class was during certain lectures. I worked my tail off (3 hours/ night X 4 nights/week) and she gave me a B. My other four English classes were A's.

unqualified -- smart, but cannot teach; lacks people skills; completely unreasonable. for a subject like medieval, you want a REAL professor, not a grad student who's trying to prove she's a challenging teacher by being tough on quantity.

Comment:
Completely unqualified to teach a 300 level english course. Obviously has no teaching experience. Way too much energy translates to highly annoying voice and no cohesive agenda for class. Substitutes busy work when she is underprepared for class.

Expos is never exactly a fun experience but a **** of a teacher intensifies the pain. Young and full of expectations. Bad combination.
