She was my MCB lab teacher. She grades hard so know you stuff or she will mark the problem wrong. Pay attention during her lecture and take notes. She gets mad if you as a question she covered in the lecture in the beginning. Also, DON'T BE LATE!!!! She gets mad if you're late. I got an A in the lecture MCB but her lab was harder then the lecture

Comment:

She is very clear and concise with her lectures. As long as you stay focused on the lecture you'll do fine. Only grade in the class is 4 exams though so make sure you are well prepared. Only complaint is she lectures on nutrition excessively. At times i felt like i was in health class, not Human Biology.

I really liked this class. It definitely wasn't the most interesting but if you take good notes and you give yourself 3-4 days to study those notes before the tests then you will do great! The tests come directly from the notes, the book is just to help. There are also bonus worksheets that are pretty hard but not impossible.

Sapone is really nice. She quickly answers emails and is extremely helpful. The tests are really hard and long. I considered dropping the class, but stuck it out. Know the notes she gives in class really well.

Comment:

Always had 20 pages of notes front and back to study for each test. The tests are so difficult that I recommend you study every day after her class. Her tests are not straight forward--all multiple choice questions with critical analysis or worded so similarly that you had to really know your processes. HARD bonus on every test.

She's really nice, but not completely easy. I had to up my studying as the class went along for sure. The final is tough, but the earlier tests are easier so it balances out. Doesn't give you the notes, you have to write them and be in class.

Mrs. Sapone is tough, but she will help you if you are struggling. Don't be afraid to ask her for help. Her exams come straight from the notes. If you know her notes well, you will pass no problem.

Take MCB lab with someone else and you will be happier. She tries to explain concepts but is hard to hear when you're not sitting in front of her. She only helps if you haven't covered the material in lecture. Her quizzes suck because the first four questions aren't from the previous lab while the 5th is on the current lab; she quizzes on 2 labs.

She seems like she has lost any interest in explaining and helping you learn. If you try to get her to explain something in Lecture she will pretty much shut you down.make an appointment with her, she becomes a different person. Her plus grades are at the halfway(65,75,85) rather than at 7 which is great. Just take time to meet her out of class.

She is one of the most impersonal, apathetic people I have ever met. Quickly zips through powerpoints without clear explanation. She fails to clearly explain the labs either. Also, talks at a very low volume, nearly inaudible. It seems as though she has lost all enthusiasm for teaching. Like she is preparing for an early retirement or something.

I had Sapone for AFF lecture. Honestly, she does not make this class as impossible as everyone makes it sound. As long as you are willing to go to class and take notes you will be successful. All of the test questions come straight from the notes. She presents the information in well oganized, easy to follow way.

I really liked her too! The tests are seriously straight from the notes, dont even look at the book. She gives everyone time to copy the powerpoints down. Theres bonus questions on every test, plus 20 additonal bonus points you can get through extra assignments. I got over 100%'s on tests, just know the notes! easy!

Not as bad as everyone says! You take notes the whole class period but exams are all based right from her notes. The $200 textbook--not necessary!! Extremely nice, easy to understand. For MCB, there are 4 exams, and the final is not cumulative. There are also 20 extra credit points available per semester and additional extra credit on each exam!

Hardest instructor i have ever had. She once told me that "there's just so much information I can't teach it any other way than lecture" Lecture to her means 4-5 pages in 55 minutes. Some people found this class incredibly easy, more found it extremely hard. If you need to take this course, don't take her. You'll regret it. And so will your GPA.

she talks so fast! you have no time to comprehend anything she is saying because all you are worried about is copying the notes down before she goes to the next slide of the powerpoint! also very dull. i have been to her office a couple times looking for help, and it was pretty much pointless. if possible, don't take her!
