Tough grader but makes it very specific as to what she's expecting. My major bone to pick is that you could tell who she disliked in the class and if we didn't quite grasp a concept she was hinting at, she'd act like we were dumb. Besides that, I thought she made it easy to learn what she and other JMC professors expected from our papers.

She is a little intimidating, but very accessible outside of class and will help you greatly improve your paper if you go to her office hours. Very clearly points out what needs fixing. Prepare for a poor grade on your first paper, but she lets you revise it for a higher grade towards the end of the class. My writing improved a lot with her help.

Professor Stein-Roggenbuck is a wonderful professor. She is committed to helping her students understand the material, think deeper about the topic, and will work tirelessly to assist her students in achieving success. Though challenging, I think that she is one of the finest educators one could ask for. I highly recommend her and her courses.

Nooo, do not take her. Its not that she's an hard teacher necessarily, or mean even. But she plays favorites badly, and that gets old fast. Also, she is very feminist, and trys to make everyone see stuff her way...it sucks.
