Great professor. Tests and homework were fair. lectures didn't drag on. He had a little bit of humor. Frequently would ask if we had questions in the middle of his lecture. All around a great guy. You didn't have to read the textbook, but the hw was there.

Take any classes taught by him is a good choice, you will understand almost everything he mention on class, very clear. Exams are based on HWs, and HW are based on Class notes.

This is a class that COMPUTER SCIENCE students take, and yet nothing is posted online. He doesn't even have lecture slides, he just handwrites on a chalk board like we're in 1960. But he tells you pretty much what's going to be on a test but if you don't have all the handouts, you're screwed. He gives all handouts and HW in class on paper

His lectures are very easy to understand, and he is very approachable with a good sense of humor. He cares very much about the students and waits until everyone understands the material before moving on. He also gives several examples for each new subject. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Extremely easy class. Informative lectures, easy to do assignments. Labs were a breeze. Final exam was take-home. In the review discusses pretty much everything that's on the test. I'd recommend his class to everyone!

tries to make everything as simple as possible. seems to actually care about his students & is very open during office hours for extra help. basically all the material was covered in lecture. outside reading (like in textbook) was unnecessary. not much homework. class very straightforward, but a bit slow & easy; not much material was covered really

Amazing professor. He was very good at teaching all the concepts. Attendance is not mandatory, but I took it more seriously than any other class that semester. He is also a nice and very helpful guy. I strongly suggest anyone to take his class.

He is a great teacher. Compared to all other teacher who teach 140, Dr. Chakrabarti is extremely clear and very helpful. All you have to do is SHOW UP to class. His lectures are easy to understand, he gives a review before the test which pretty much states almost the same problems on the test. He will go over it and if you pay attention, its easy.

Chakrabarti is a fantastic teacher. His class was a breeze so long as you went to class and weren't asleep...which would be hard anyway because his classes are so engaging. I got an A in his class hardly touching the book, except merely for reference of a few things I was foggy on during the homework assignments.

I love this guy, especially after grading for him. He knows how to lecture, how to create homework assignments and tests, and how to clearly explain complicated concepts. Plus, he has some of the funniest tendencies I've ever seen.

Great teacher. Textbook is required for the homework assignments, unless you have a friend you can share textbooks with. Take notes on paper - a laptop won't work here. Too many drawings. Lecture attendance is not "mandatory", but its the most important thing you can do to get an A in the class.

Very good teacher and has a good sense of humor. You cannot skip class or you will get behind. Very good at laying at notes and as long as you pay attention you should do just fine in the course. Slight accent but it is more funny than a problem in understanding anything.
