Her course was one of the hardest A's I'd ever earned. If you want an A, then you must put in the work. No other way around it. She pushes you to dig deeper than your initial thoughts or generic answers. Yes, Ms. Corbett is one tough cookie but I'm grateful for that. Everything learned in her class has helped me at some point in my academic career.

Mrs. Sydney Corbett is a teacher who wants you to reach excellence. She does give lots of work but that is the class not her. She also offers many opportunities to earn extra credit and not by doing more homework. It was a joy to be her student. She is passionate about the English language and it shows in her teaching methods. Wonderful Teacher!

Ms.Corbett was a nice lady but, her class is hard. every day of class you have something to turn in. There are a lot of essay's and her project demands alot. she is though with essay grading.Basically if you like alot of work that would be the class for you.

Shes okay. I managed to pull a B out of the class. I probably got the B because of the extremely easy vocab quizzes. Other than that, shes a pretty tough grader, I couldn't get anything higher than an 85 on my writing assignments.

Mrs. Corbett brought out the writer in me that I never thought existed. She is passionate about English and expects a lot out of her students. Some have a problem with this but she pushed me to succeed and always demanded the best. I am now getting ready to graduate from CFCC and looking back she has been one of the best teachers I've had at CFCC.

She is nuts! I gave her medicore homework and I got a mediocre grade I gave her all my effort and I got a mediocre grade. I had my papers checked by another english teacher and one of her A students and I stil got a mediocre grade. she made her mind and no matter what i did she gave me a mediocre grade. if she labels you then it is over you are F'd

She is a wonderful woman; however, she is hard as a rock. Understanding proper puncuation is a must. I almost lost my job because I had to take time of work to do the research paper. If you take her class just be prepared to work your butt off. It is no where near an easy A class.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND CORBETT. I read her "comments" here, and thought that she would be a decent teacher, but i was wrong. She likes to assign tremendous amounts of work, and despite high amounts of effort, she grades EVERYTHING with an iron fist. It's only been 4 weeks and I am strongly considering dropping her class.

Mrs. Corbett was a very nice and thoughtful teacher and gives alot of extra credit to go to CFCC events. She gives a ton of handouts that are helpful. A bunch of great quotes that I use on papers since the class. She is not an easy A but I do not think I have heard of an english teacher that is. I liked her and appreciated her efforts.

CRAZY CORBETT!!! By far the most ridiculous teaching style i've ever encountered. Very opinionated and not flexible by any means. She wants you to pass, but the only hundred she's ever given was a bill. She is one of the nicest people alive, but doesn't understand that not everyone has memorized the dictionary.

Ok, I am an honors student, and I DID NOT like her grading ways. She is VERY HARD! I studied my butt off for her class and only got a B+. She is a nice lady, but she is HARD! I recommend Mrs. Moose! Mrs. Moose teaches ENC1101 and ENC1102.

I enjoyed this class. Even being on a Friday night, she made it interesting enough to keep going. Yes, there was alot of work, but she was a fair grader, gave helpful criticism and really showed how much she enjoyed her work. I hope she continues teaching for a long time!

She asks way too much for a freshmen comp 2 class. I had my papers checked by a UCF professor before I handed them in and she gave me D's and 1 F. She is nice, but the assignments are ridiculous.
